INFLIGHT SHUTDOWN HIGH OIL TEMP ON NR 1 ENG. CHECKLIST ACCOMPLISHED TEMP WOULD NOT DECREASE. ENG SHUTDOWN LANDING MODE. AC MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING. VERIFIED NR 1 OIL TEMP GAUGE ERRATIC. REMOVED AND REPLACED NR 1 OIL TEMP GAUGE AND NR 1 TEMP BULB PER BOEING MM RAN ENGINES AT T/O POWER, ALL SYSTEMS CHECKED GOOD PER BOEING MM.

DURING DESCENT TO STL, FOUND NR 2 OIL FILTER BYPASS LT ILLUMINATED, NR 2 ENG SHUTDOWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH QRH, ALL OTHER ENGINE INDICATIONS HAD BEEN NORMAL. MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING. PULLED AND CHECKED MAIN OIL SCREEN, FOUND CLEAN. RESEATED BYPASS SWITCH, RELAMPED INDICATOR. RAN ENGINE, NO LEAKS NOTED. ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL PER BOEING MM. BYPASS LIGHT NORMAL.
