UPON TAKEOFF THE PILOT NOTICED A BURNED ODOR IN THE COCK-PIT. ALL CIRCUIT BREAKERS WERE IN, NOTHING TRIPPED. PILOT NOTICED THAT THE TRANSPONDER WAS DISPLAYING A "FAILURE" ON THE SCREEN. TURNED POWER OFF TO TRANSPONDER, AND CAME BACK AROUND FOR A SAFE LANDING. MX DETERMINED THAT THE BURNED ODOR WAS IN FACT COMING FROM THE TRANSPONDER.
ON TAKEOFF OUT OF BOS PILOT HAD A DOOR AJAR LIGHT COME ON. ABORTED TAKEOFF SECURED CARGO DOOR AND CONTINUED WITH FLIGHT.
GOT A STRONG ODOR (ELECTRICAL) IN COCKPIT. HAD MAINTENANCE LOOK AT AIRCRAFT COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM.
ON TAKE OFF OUT OF BOSTON, SPARKS WERE FLYING OUT FROM UNDERNEATH PILOTS PANEL, RETURNED TO BASE. FOUND EXPOSED WIRE OUT OF CONNECTOR P160 ON WIRE NR HA20 ON PROPELLER DEICE CIRCUIT, SHORTED ON SIDE PANEL REPAIRED CONNECTOR, OPS GOOD.
