INSPECTION FOUND CORROSION BETWEEN RUDDER SKIN AND BONDED DOUBLERS ON LT SIDE AT STA ZR 111. THE SKIN WAS SPLICED TO PRODUCTION SPLICE, A LOWER LEFT SKIN SECTION WAS FABRICATED AND INSTALLED IAW ECRA 5540-01070, SRM 55-03 FIGURE 12 AND SRM 55-40-1.

Part: HYDRAULIC LINE — RUPTURED (NR 2 ENGINE)

IAH - FLT 1853 - THE RT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM QUANTITY BEGAN TO DROP IN FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO IAH WHERE IT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NR 2 ENGINE HYDRAULIC SUPPLY LINE RUPTURED. THE SUPPLY LINE WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. THE NR 2 ENGINE WAS RUN AFTER SERVICING THE RT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND NO LEAKS WERE NOTED.
