DURING LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION (TEXTRON MEL54-02R3) TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENT OF AD 2017-10-09, A CRACK WAS IDENTIFIED ON THE OUTBOARD SIDE OF THE RIGHT HAND INBOARD NACELLE FITTING ( OEM: 5292029-22). THIS CRACK MEASURES APPROXIMATELY .620 INCHES LONG AND PROPAGATES INBOARD ACROSS THE BACK OF THE FITTING AND IS CONSISTENT WITH SIMILAR CRACKING IDENTIFIED USING THE SAME INSPECTION METHOD. THIS FITTING WILL BE REPLACED USING NEW PARTS.
PILOT REPORTED BURNING/ELECTRICAL SMELL IN THE CABIN IN FLIGHT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND FOUND THE WEATHER RADAR TO HAVE AN ELECTRICAL SMELL IN STANDBY MODE. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE RADAR INDICATOR AND ANTENNA WITH NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
A CRACK WAS IDENTIFIED AT THE RT SIDE OF LWR FWD CARRYTHROUGH SPAR CAP AT FASTENER LOCATION IN FWD ROW WHILE PERFORMING NDT PROCEDURE AS AMOC FOR AD2018-03-03R1. THE CRACK WAS CONFIRMED BY BOLT HOLE EDDY CURRENT AFTER THE FASTENER WAS REMOVED. THE WING JOINT FITTING ASSOCIATED WITH THESE FASTENER LOCATIONS WAS REPLACED WITH AN OEM PART ON FEBRUARY 27, 2017 (CESSNA SERVICE KIT SK421-152B) AND HAS ACCUMULATED 3304.2 SINCE INSTALLATION.
ON TAXI, THE CREW REPORTED A BURNING ODOR IN THE COCKPIT. MX FOUND A FAILED LT ENGINE STARTER RELAY DIODE FAILED.
PILOT REPORTED THAT THE LT FUEL FLOW SURGED 10 POUNDS IN CLIMB, FOLLOWED BY THE LT ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH. ELECTED TO TURN ON THE AUXILARY FUEL PUMP TO SUSTAIN POWER AND SMOOTH ENGINE PERFORMANCE. ON MX INSPECTION, A VISUAL INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED OF THE ENGINE AS WELL AS A RUN UP WITH ALL PARAMETERS CHECKING NORMAL. FUEL SYS STRAINER WAS INSPECTED ON LT WING AND THE FUEL FILTERS WERE CLEANED. THE FUEL METERING UNIT SEAL WAS REPLACED AS A PRECAUTION. ALL SYS OPERATIONALLY CHECKED GOOD.
PILOT REPORTED THAT WHEN SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE, THE LT PROP WENT TO FEATHER. ON MX INSPECTION, THE LT PROP GOVERNOR WAS R & R. A SUBSEQUENT ENGINE RUNUP WAS PERFORMED WHICH HAD SATISFACTORY RESULTS.
AT SCHEDULED INSPECTION, NLG DRAG BRACE, OEM PN 5142002-5, WAS FOUND TO BE CRACKED IN THE AREA OF NLG ACTUATOR ATTACH POINT. METHOD OF INSPECTION WAS DYE PENETRANT. THIS CRACK WAS FOUND TO BE WITHIN ALLOWABLE LIMIT. THIS UNIT HAS BEEN REPAIRED IAW PROCEDURE OUTLINED IN MEB941-11R1 & RETURNED TO SERVICE.
PREFLIGHT, CREW REPORTED AVIONICS MASTER SWITCH INOPERATIVE. MX R & R CIRCUIT BREAKER. SYS CHECKS OK. ACFT RELEASED BACK TO SERVICE.
DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, AVIONICS SWITCH WAS FOUND INOPERATIVE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED SWITCH.
AVIONICS WOULD NOT COME ON WHEN MASTER SWITCH SWITCHED TO ON POSITION. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED AVIONICS MASTER.
CREW REPORTED AVIONICS MASTER SWITCH INOP. MX CHANGED CIRCUIT BREAKER.
PILOT ATTEMPTED START OF LEFT ENGINE, ENGINE DID NOT TURN. MECHANIC FOUND START RELAY OVERHEATED AND DISCOLORED REMOVE AND REPLACED RELAY AND STARTER AS A PRECAUTION AIRCRAFT RELEASED BACK TO SERVICE.
PILOT REPORTED RT STARTER STAYED ENGAGED. MECHANIC REMOVED AND REPLACED START RELAY AND RELEASED AIRCRAFT BACK TO SERVICE.
