DURING MX INSPECTION THE NR 4 EMERGENCY LIGHT BATTERY WAS FOUND TO BE DISCHARGED AND INOPERATIVE. MX R & R NR 4 EMERGENCY LIGHT BATTERY WITH OPS CHECK SUCCESSFUL. ACFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.

DFW - FLIGHT 2463 THE CREW REPORTED A STRONG BURNING OIL SMELL FROM THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE BLEED AT HIGH POWER SETTINGS. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT DFW WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND IT WAS FERRIED TO IAH WHERE MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE, OPERATIONALLY AND LEAK CHECK WITH NO DEFECTS, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.

FLIGHT 2893 - EWR - FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT MAIN CABIN DOOR JAMMED HALF WAY OPEN/CLOSED. EWR MX CLEANED AND LUBED MAIN CABIN DOOR LOCKS AND ROLLERS AND PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK SUCCESSFULLY. ACFT WAS APPROVED TO RETURN TO SERVICE.

SHV - DURING C-CHECK IT WAS FOUND THAT THE RT AILERON PCA BRACKET HAD A MIGRATED HAT BUSHING. THE HOLE WAS WORN OUT OF LIMITS AND WOULD NOT RETAIN THE BUSHING. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE AFFECTED BRACKET IAW EMB 145XR SRM 51-40-02. THE ACFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE. (S)

FLIGHT 2383, DURING PREFLIGHT INSPECTION THE CREW REPORTED, ROW 12 OVERHEAD EMERGENCY LIGHT EXIT SIGN NOT LIGHTING UP. MAINTENANCE RESET THE EMERGENCY LIGHT SYSTEM, OPERATIONALLY CHECKED WITH NO DEFECTS, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
THE RIGHT FWD FUSELAGE II, CENTRAL FUSELAGE I SKIN AND SEVERAL UNDERLYING STRUCTURAL MEMBERS WERE DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF A TUG STRIKING THE AIRCRAFT. THE DAMAGE IS CONTAINED BETWEEN FRAMES 7 & 14, STR 16R & 20R. THE A/C IS BEING REPAIRED IAW EA5330-01106.
CLE FLIGHT 2322 - THE CREW REPORTED THE AISLE PATH LIGHT STRIP WAS LOOSE ON THE FLOOR. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND RE-ATTACHED THE AISLE PATH LIGHT STRIP. OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD.
PVD FLIGHT NR 2366 THE CREW REPORTED ENGINE NR 2 FAILED IN FLIGHT ON DESCENT INTO PVD. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE NR 2 ENGINE. OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD. DFDR DATA SHOWED NR 2 ENGINE DECREASED FROM 91% TO 0 IN 1 SECOND.THIS IS INDICATIVE OF A RADIAL DRIVE SYSTEM FAILURE.TEAR DOWN REPORT INDICATED THE ENGINE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE UPPER BEVEL GEAR FAILURE. CAUSE OF GEAR FAILURE : RESONANCE MODE (2DOC).
IAH - FLIGHT 2375, DURING PREFLIGHT INSPECTION, THE CREW REPORTED THAT THE MAIN CABIN DOOR WAS HARD TO OPEN AND CLOSE. MAINTENANCE RE-RIGGED THE PASSENGER DOOR, OPERATIONALLY CHECKED WITH NO DEFECTS, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
DURING CRUISE CREW REPORTED STRONG ODOR IN THE CABIN. AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO PHL AS PRECAUTION. INSPECTED AIRCRAFT, PERFORMED ENGINE AND APU WITH BLEEDS ON. NO DEFECTS NOTED. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
