PERFORMED FIRST HIGH POWER FOR 4 MINUTES WITH NO CARROT IN THE RED AND NO EICAS MESSAGES, PERFORMED SECOND 4 MINUTE RUN WITH SAME RESULTS. BLEED 2 TEMP CARROT RODE THE LINE BETWEEN RED AND GREEN WHILE BLEED 1 STAYED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GREEN. CAPPED BOTH FAVS AND PERFORMED INITIAL ENGINE RUNS, BLEED 2 TEMP SLOWLY MOVED TO THE MIDDLE OF THE WHITE WHILE BLEED 1 DID NOT MOVE, RH FAV OPENED AT HIGH POWER. PERFORMED CHECK OF E2 PRE COOLER EXHAUST. NO SIGNS OF EXCESSIVE HOT AIR. FOUND RIGID LINE FROM E2 FAV SENSE LINE AT VALVE CHAFFED BUT NOT ALL THE WAY THROUGH. PRESSURIZED THE LINE BETWEEN THE FAV SENSE LINE AND THE THERMOSTATS. NO LEAK FOUND. REMOVED AND REPLACED #2 ENGINE FAN AIR VALVE. OPS AND LEAK CHECK SAT. PERFORMED OPS TEST OF THE ENGINE AIR BLEED SYS 1 AND 2. OPS CHECK GOOD.

ECTM WORKSHEET ISSUED BY EXPRESSJET ENGINEERING TO REMOVE AND REPLACE NR 1 ENGINE DUE TO HAZE/ODOR IN THE CABIN. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE NR 1 ENGINE AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD. TEAR DOWN REPORT FROM ROLLS ROYCE SHOWED LEAKAGE FROM THE COOL FRONT SUMP ON THE NR 1 ENGINE.
DURING SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE THE NR 2 ENGINE WAS FOUND TO BE THE SOURCE OF SMOKE ACCUMULATING IN THE PASSENGER CABIN. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE ENGINE TO CORRECT THE DISCREPANCY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE. SDR CLOSED.
FLIGHT 2291. FLIGHT CREW REPORTED LAV SMOKE INDICATION ON EICAS DURING CLIMB. CREW PERFORMED AIR RETURN AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. MX FOUND V-BAND COUPLING AND METAL GASKET SEALING ELEMENT MISSING ON LT COMPRESSOR TUBE. MX REPLACED GASKET AND V-BAND COUPLING AND PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK SUCCESSFULLY. AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED TO RETURN TO SERVICE.
PIT - FLIGHT 2529, DURING CLIMB THE CREW REPORTED SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT AND CABIN. THE ACFT RETURNED TO PIT WHERE IT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. CONTRACT MX INSPECTED THE ACFT AND RAN THE ENGINES WITH THE CREW AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. ACFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.

MX REMOVED AND REPLACED 14TH STAGE COMPRESSOR DISCHARGE TUBE V-BAND CLAMP OPERATIONALLY CHECKED SATISFACTORY. AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED TO RETURN FOR SERVICE.
IAD - ROUTINE CHECK FOUND EMERGENCY LIGHTS INOP. REMOVED AND REPLACED NR 3 AND NR 4 EMERGENCY LIGHT BATTERIES IAW EMB145 AMM 33-50-04. OPS CHECK GOOD.
IAH - FLIGHT 2048, DURING PREFLIGHT INSPECTION, THE CREW REPORTED THAT THE CAPTAINS EMERGENCY EXIT RED HANDLE WOULD NOT OPEN. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE EMERGENCY EXIT, OPERATIONALLY CHECKED WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
IAH - FLIGHT 2623, THE CREW REPORTED A POSSIBLE LIGHTNING STRIKE EN ROUTE TO IAH FOLLOWED BY SMELL OF BURNING WIRES AND CAPT PFD WENT FULL BRIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT IAH WITHOUT INCIDENT WHERE MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A LIGHTNING STRIKE INSPECTION, WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED, REMOVED AND REPLACED THE CAPTAINS PFD, OPERATIONALLY CHECKED WITH NO DEFECTS, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
