WHILE ON THE GROUND DURING COCKPIT PREP THERE WAS SMOKE IN CABIN AND COCKPIT. TURNED OFF PACKS AND GPU BLEED. WHILE RUNNING THRU CHECKLIST THE AMBER LEFT PACK FAIL ILLUMINATED. TEMP ON ECS SYNOPTIC FOR LEFT PACK SHOWED 115 DEGREES. SYSTEM WORKS FINE WITH R PACK AND GPU BLEED ON. SMOKE OR SMELL WAS NOT ABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. OPS CHECK GOOD. LH PACK ON MEL. IAW AFM
BRAKE 50% DEGRADED AMBER CAS: BRAKE 50% DEGRADED AMBER CAS ILLUMINATED WHILE WAITING TO TAKEOFF. IF EXTINGUISHED AND REILLUMINATED SEVERAL TIMES. CORRECTIVE ACTION; REMOVED AND REPLACED RH OUTBOARD BRAKE FUSE VALVE P/N GW415-1300-1 S/N 2785 AND RH OUTBOARD BRAKE CONTROL VALVE P/N GW415-6150-1 S/N 2923.PERFORMED ALL LEAK CHECKS AND / OPERATIONAL CHECKS. NO FAULTS NOTED. IAW GLOBAL 5000 AMM 32-43-33, AND 32-43-09.
MLG: WHEN LANDING GEAR WAS EXTENDED HAD AN UNSAFE RT MAIN GEAR INDICATION. PERFORMED A MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION AND HAD THE SAME INDICATION. CREW REPORTS UNSAFE RIGHT GEAR INDICATION. REPLACED RIGHT A DOWNLOCK SENSOR. REF. GL5000 AMM 32-61-01.
EMERG EXIT DOOR HARDWARE: THE OVERWING EMERGENCY DOOR WINDOW HAS A HORIZONTAL INTERIOR PART THAT HAS FALLEN BETWEEN THE INNER WINDOW PANELS AND US PARTLY OBSTRUCTING THE VIEW OUT THE WINDOW. PHOTO ATTACHED. COMPLETED REMOVING FOD FROM EMERGENCY EXIT WINDOW IAW GOE-96600000-5MM-2 REV 1 25-28-54-000/400-801
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT EQUIPMENT: MICROWAVE EMITTED AN ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL WHEN USED. //SIGNOFF// POWERED AIRCRAFT ON EXTERNAL GPU. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE MICROWAVE AND CONFIRMED BURNING SMELL COMING FROM MICROWAVE WHEN IN OPERATION. PERFORMED VISUAL INSPECTION OF MICROWAVE AND NOTED A METALLIC TIE-WRAP FOUND INSIDE THE MICROWAVE UNDERNEATH THE GLASS ROTATING DISH ASSEMBLY. REMOVED TIE-WRAP. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE MICROWAVE WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED IAW GL5000 SMM 25-30-66. MICROWAVE WAS RUN FOR A TOTAL OF 10 MINUTES AND TECHS NOTED BURNING SMELL PRESENT THE FIRST FEW SECONDS AFTER TIE-WRAP REMOVAL AND THEN SMELL WAS NO LONGER PRESENT FOR THE REMAINING TIME OF OPERATION. CONTACTED MCC WITH FINDING. MCC ELECTS NO FURTHER ACTION AT THIS TIME AND AIRCRAFT IS GOOD FOR RELEASE. POWERED DOWN GALLEY AND AIRCRAFT AS REQUIRED.
DOOR FAILS TO CLOSE ON FIRST ATTEMPT. TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS BEFORE DOOR OPERATES NORMALLY. CABIN SWITCH AND EXTERNAL SWITCH HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. PERFORMED TROUBLESHOOTING STEP PER SFP. I LUBED THE DOOR HINGES AND TELESCOPING RODS. I PERFORMED SEVER FUNCTION CHECKS OF THE DOOR FROM BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. I WAS UNBLE TO DUPLICATE THE SQK AT THIS TIME. PER NJA MCC THERE IS NO HISTORY WITH THIS ISSUE. WORK PERFORMED WITH REF. TO THE GLOBAL 5000 BD-700 AMM 52-11-21, 52-11-00 AND SPF 5210B5002.
RIGHT MLG LANDING GEAR UNLOCK LIGHT ILLUMINATED. RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DID NOT RETRACT DURING TAKE OFF. PERFORMED A DETAILED VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE RT MLG, AND PERFORMED GEAR SWINGS, EMERGENCY EXTENSION OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR WITH NO DISCREPENCIES NOTED. RERACKED LGECU, BLED NR 2 AND 3 AND PERFORMED LANDING GEAR SWINGS. INCLUDING EMERGENCY EXTENSION. FOUND ALL GEARS TO BE IN SYNC AND NO LAG BETWEEN GEAR. PERFORMED LGECU NVM DOWNLOADS SERVICE FAULT NVM DOWNLOADS AND QAR DOWNLOADS. ALL WORK PERFORMED IAW AMM 32-31-09-000/400-801, REV 26, 32-30-00-910-801, 32-30-00-210-802, 32-34-00-710-801, 32-34-00-720-801, 45-47-00-970-803, 45-47-00-970-810, AND 45-47-00-970-804.
110V OUTLET BY SEAT NR 3 SPARKED AND OUTLET TRIPPED. OUTLET IS NOT POWERED MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE ACCOMPLISHED. REMOVED AND REPLACED A/C OUTLET IAW WIRING MANUAL 24-53. OPS CHECKED GOOD. PERFORMED INSPECTION OF ELECTRICAL OUTLET NEAR SEAT 3 FOR ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. NO DAMAGE FOUND.
DURING OPERATIONAL CHECK OF NEW ENGINE IGNITER, IGNITION EXCITER FAILED TO FIRE IGNITER. PROPER VOLTAGE OBSERVED AT CANNON PLUG. INTERNAL PROBLEM WITH EXCITER BOX.
DURING INSPECTION, FOUND LEFT RUDDER CABLE WITH BROKEN WIRE STRANDS. THE CABLE WAS DAMAGED AT THE FAIRLEAD BRACKET FORWARD OF FS 400.50. THE TEFLON FAIRLEAD, PN S338-3, CAUSES DAMAGE TO CABLE WHERE EVER INSTALLED IN THE AIRCRAFT. SUBMITTER STATED A NEW MATERIAL FOR THE FAIRLEAD SHOULD BE LOOKED AT.
