NOSE STEERING FAIL CAS IN CLIMB WOULD NOT RESET. REPLACED STEERING CONTROL UNIT WITH K-BALLED UNIT FROM IAW AMM 32-51-01-400-801.
IN FLIGHT, MICROWAVE MADE A LOUD BANG WHILE IN USE. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY AN ELEC SMOKE ODOR IN CABIN. FA REPORTED MICROWAVE CB LOCKED. MICROWAVE SHUTDOWN AFTER BANG, ONLY FUMES. R & R MICROWAVE IAW SMM 25-30-66. PERFORMED OPS CHECK, COULD NOT GET CPB'S TO UNLOCK. ONCE IN ON POSITION IT WOULD RETURN TO LOCKED. PERFORMED T-SHOOTING IAW SMM 24-03-50, NO CHANGE. SWAPPED #2 & #5 ACPDE'S, SWAPPED SWITCH MODULES & TESTED MICROWAVE CB'S, VERIFED ABLE TO UNLOCK & KEEP ON OB'S & VERIFED & PERFORMED OPS CHECK. SWAPPED ACPDE'S & SWITCHING MODULES BACK TO ORIG POSITIONS. TEMP INSTALLED ACPDE'S & BRACKET, REMOVED #5 ACPDE & INSTALLED SUPPLIED UNIT. OPS CHECKED GOOD, NO DEFECTS IAW SMM 24-52-52.
DURING THE CHECKLIST WE FOUND THE FWD OVER WING EMERGENCY LIGHT AND EMERGENCY LIGHT UNDER THE WING EXIT IN THE INTERIOR INOP. WE HAVE FOUND THAT BOTH LIGHTS WORK WHEN TESTING THE ELPS3. BOTH LIGHTS INOP WHEN ELPS3 NOT IN TEST MODE.
DURING MAINTENANCE, FOUND RH AFT OVERWING EMERGENCY LIGHT INOP. REMOVED SUSPECTED FAULTY R/H OVERWING EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT AND REPLACED WITH ANEW CUSTOMER SUPPLIED EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT IAW GL5000 AMM 33-51-05. OPS CHECK GOOD.
FIRST OFFICER COCKPIT WINDOW: FORWARD CO-PILOT WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED. REMOVED & REPLACED CRACKED CO-PILOTS WINDSHIELD IAW GL-5000 AMM 56-10-01-000-801 OPS CHECK GOOD
L FUEL LO PRESS AMBER CAS: AFTER APPLYING TAKEOFF POWER L LOW FUEL PRESSURE AMBER MESSAGE ILLUMINATED. DISCONTINUED TAKEOFF AND RETURNED TO RAMP. // SIGNOFF// SWAPPED LH AND RH ENGINE FUEL LOW PRESSURE SWITCHES. FAULT FOLLOWED FROM LH ENGINE TO RH ENGINE. REINSTALLED ORIGINAL RH PRESSURE SWITCH ON RH ENGINE. LH ENGINE FUEL PRESSURE SWITCH ON ORDER WITH NELJETS MAINT CONTROL IAW RR BR700-710A2·20 EMM 73-33-01-000-801 REMOVED LEFT ENGINE RJEL LOW PRESSURE SWITCH FOR L FUEL LO PRESS AMBER CAS MESSAGE, INSTALLED INSPECTED UNIT IAW RR BR700:.710A2-20 EMM 73-33-01·000-801·A02/400-801-A02. OPERATIONAL AND LEAK CHECKS GOOD P/N OFF 21SN04-433 5/N R041930 PIN ON 2:LSN04-433 S/N W045918
RIGHT MLG BRAKE: AFTER LANDING DURING NORMAL BRAKE APPLICATION, AIRCRAFT AGGRESSIVELY AND VIOLENTLY BRAKED FORWARD RESULTING IN VIOLENT NOSE DOWN AND UP MOVEMENT. MOVEMENT WENT AWAY AFTER BRAKE RELEASE AND RETURNED UPON RE-APPLICATION ON RUNWAY. COULD NOT DUPLICATE DURING TAXI SPEEDS. BRAKING WAS NORMAL DURING TAXI AND PARKING. AFTER SHUTDOWN. RIGHT MAIN BRAKE ASSEMBLY WAS SMOKING AND HAD FLUID SPRAY PATTERN ON INBOARD NO.4 TIRE. SEE PHOTO. // SIGNOFF// REPLACED THE NO.4 MLG BRAKE WITH A REPAIRED UNIT IAW GLOBAL 5000 AMM TASKS 32-43-13-000-801 AND 32-43-13-400-801. PERFORMED BLEEDINQ, LEAK CHECK, OPERATIONAL CHECK AND TAXI CHECK AND ALL OPERATION NORMAL AT THIS TIME. REPLACED THE NO.3 AND NO.4 MLG WHEELRRIRE ASSEMBLIES WITH A REPAIRED (NO.3) AND A MODIFIED NO.4) UNIT IAW GLOBAL 5000 AMM TASKS 32-41-01-000-801 AND 32-41-01-400-801. NO FURTHER ACTION REAUIRED.
DURING DESCENT OUT OF 37000 FT, AMBER NOSE STEER FAIL CAS MESSAGE ILLUMINATED. PERFORMED CHECKLIST AND MESSAGE DID NOT CLEAR. ON LANDING, AFTER COMING TO STOP, TURNED ON NWS AND NO MESSAGE CAME ON. TAXIED TO RAMP WITH NO OTHER ISSUES. COMPLETED NWS CDU DOWNLOAD AND FOUND THE STEERING SOLENOID VALVE WAS STUCK OPEN REMOVED STUCK VALVE AND REPLACED WITH OVERHAULED UNIT. WORK DONE IAW AMM 32-51-13. OPS TESTED GOOD.
DURING PHASE 5 INSPECTION, FOUND LT WING CUFF TKS PANEL PRESSURES SWITCH BADLY CORRODED AND METAL EXFOLIATED ON THE SURFACE OF THE SWITCH. SUBMITTER STATED POOR QUALITY OF METAL USED IN MAKING SWITCH BODY WITH POSSIBLE TKS FLUID LEAKAGE LIKELY CAUSE.
DURING INSPECTION, FOUND BATTERY ELCON CONNECTOR NOT LOCKING PROPERLY. FOUND WEAR ON CONNECTOR LOCKING LUGS. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS BEEN FOUND IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS.
RIGHT LANDING LIGHT INOPERATIVE. FOUND COCKPIT ON/OFF SWITCH BAD. SWITCH HAS SIGNS OF HEAT ON BOTTOM OF IT, AND AT ONE LUG CONNECTION. OPERATED UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. SUBMITTER SUGGESTS SWITCH COULD NOT HANDLE CURRENT.
