IN FLIGHT OUR FA ATTEMPTED TO USE THE MICROWAVE TO WARM PASSENGER FOOD. WITHIN 5 SECONDS OF USE, THE MICROWAVE BEGAN TO ARC INSIDE ON THE TOP, MADE A HIGH PITCH SQUEELING SOUND, AND GAVE OFF AN ACRID SMELL. WE STOPPED THE PROCESS AND ISOLATED THE CIRCUIT VIA THE GALLEY TOUCH SCREEN BREAKER. REMOVED THE MICROWAVE PN:400-1409-01-L, SN: 06-11-39952 DUE TO INTERNAL ARCING AND INSTALLED THE REPAIRED MICROWAVE PN: 400-1409-01-L AND SN: 07-03-40637. PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF MICROWAVE AND THE OVEN AND CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY. CLOSED ACCESS AND RETURNED AC TO ITS ORIGINAL CONFIGURATION. WORK PERFORMED IAW SMM 25-30-66.
DURING CRUISE, AN ELECTRICAL/PLASTIC INSULATION BURNING ODOR IN CABIN, AND A VERY LIGHT HAZE OF SMOKE NOTICEABLE AGAINST INCOMING SUNLIGHT, CREW WAS ABLE TO LOCATE THE SOURCE AREA, LOWER SIDEWALL ADJACENT TO SEAT NR 4, LOCATION THAT ALSO PRESENTS AN AREA OF DETACHED CARPET LINER. REMOVED THE FAILED FLOOR TRACK SWITCH DUE TO SWITCH STUCK CLOSED, OVERHEATING SEAT MOTOR. INSTALLED A NEW SWITCH, POWERED ON ACFT & ALLOWED INTERIOR TO BOOT. PERFORMED OPS CHECKS OF THE FLOOR TRACKING SWITCH & OPS CHECKS SATISFACTORY. CHECKED MOTOR BELOW THE SEAT AND VERIFIED IT IS STAYING COOL & NO LONGER OVERHEATING. SECURED AC AS NEEDED. WORK PERFORMED IAW CMM 25-20-72.
CABIN EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE TURNING OFF AND ON UNCOMMANDED WHEN EMERGENCY LIGHT SWITCH IS IN ON POSITION. CABIN EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE TURNING OFF AND ON UNCOMMANDED WHEN EMER LIGHT SWITCH IS IN ON POSITION: REMOVED #4 EMERGENCY LIGHT POWER SUPPLY P/N 8ES409800-00 S/N 6187748 AND INSTALLED REPAIRED CONDITION #4 EMERGENCY LIGHT POWER SUPPLY P/N 8ES409800-00 S/N 5690690 IAW GL5000 AMM 33-51-09. PERFORMED OPS AND FUNCTIONAL CHECKS IAW GL5000 AMM 33-51-09. OPS AND FUNCTIONAL CHECKS GOOD NO DEFECTS NOTED.
MAIN DOOR: THE MAIN CABIN DOOR CAN NOT BE CLOSED BY THE NORMAL PROCESS WITH THE MOTOR AND CABLES. WHEN THE MOTOR SWITCH ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE PLANE OR THE BUTTON IS ACTIVATED IN THE INTERIOR OF THE PLANE THE MOTOR RUNS BUT THE DOOR WILL NOT RAISE. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED DOOR ACTUATOR. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW BOMBARDIER GL-5000 AMM 52-11-25-000-801
UPON LANDING THE AC BEGUN TO PULL LEFT AND THEN THE CAS CAUTION ILLUMINATED. NOSE WHEEL STEERING WAS LOST. COMPLIED WITH APPROPRIATE CHECKLIST WITHOUT RESOLUTION. PERFORMED THE OPERATIONAL CHECK OF THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING (NWS) SYSTEM WITH TORQUE LINKS DISCONNECTED & TORQUE LINKS CONNECTED, STEERING CYCLED FULL LT & FULL RT WHILE CENTERING AT 0 EVERY TIME. INTERROGATED FLIGHT DECK & NOTED THERE ARE NO ACTIVE FAULTS FOR THE NWS, AND ONLY 1 NWS FAULT CODE (3250003DWY) IN THE HISTORY. FOLLOWING UP THAT CODE IN THE FIM WE VERIFIED THERE WAS NO FAULT (CODE 0) IN THE SCU WINDOW DURING OPERATIONAL CHECK. NO OTHER FAULTS NOTED, & NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED AT THIS TIME. WORK PERFORMED IAW AMM 32-51-00.
MAIN DOOR: THE MAIN CABIN DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE WITH THE INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR PUSH BUTTONS. //SIGNOFF// REMOVED FAULTY ACTUATOR PN:GS321-0591-9, SN: 60776 AND INSTALLED REPAIRED UNIT, SAME PART NUMBER WITH SN MENTIONED ABOVE. WORK DONE IAW GLOBAL 5000 MM 52-11-25. OIPS/CK GOOD.
AFTER TAKE OFF THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR STAYED DOWN WHILE THE NLG AND RT MLG RETRACTED. RECEIVED A AMBER GEAR DISAGREE MESSAGE. COULD HEAR LTMG WHEEL STILL SPINNING. SEEMED LIKE THE WHEEL STOPPED SPINNING, THE LT MLG RETRACTED. IT TOOK APPROXIMATELY 25-30 SECONDS BEFORE IT RETRACTED. R & R PARKING EMERGENCY HYD PRESSURE SWITCH. HYD PRESSURE SWITCH OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW AMM 32-44-13-400-801. R & R NR 2 SYS MLG SELECTOR VALVE, OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW AMM 32-31-13. R & R SHUTOFF & DUMP VALVE, OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW AMM 32-34-05. MLG WOW TO SPC & LGECU B FAULT 1. WOW TO SFOJ 2. BOTH FAUL TS ARE ACTIVE IN THE FAULT HISTORY. PERFORMED BOTH BIT TEST ON CHANNLE B FOR LGECU & BOTH FAILED. DOWNLOADED AND SENT ALL FAULT TS HISTORY TO CRC. PERFORMED ALL TROUBLESHOOTING IAW CRC. RERACKED LGECU & PERFORMED MLG SWINGS. NO DEFECTS. BOTH FAULT CODES CLEARED. WORK DONE IAW AMM 32-31-09, 32-30-00, & 07-10-01. REMOVED MLG ECU & INSTALLED A NEW ECU IAW AMM 32-31-09. PERFORMED OPS CHECK IAW AMM 32-31-09. CKD GOOD.
BRAKES MAKE LOUD SQEAULING NOISE WHEN APPLIED WHILE TURNING AND OCCAISIONALLY WHEN STOPPING STRAIGHT AHEAD. TROUBLESHOT BRAKE SYS AND FOUND THAT THE RT BRAKE ASSY SHUTTLE VALVE IS BAD AND IS ALLOWING HYDRAULIC FLUID TO GO THROUGH TO THE EMERGENCY AIR LINE, THE FLUID ALSO EMERGES FROM THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AIR VENTS NEAR THE NOSE OF THE ACFT, PLACED BRAKE ASSY ON ORDER. R & R RT BRAKE ASSY IAW MM, CH 32-40-00. BRAKE NEEDS BLED AND OPS CHECKED. SET UP TO BLEED BRAKE BUT WHEN ATTEMPTING THE BRAKES WOULD LOCK UP AND BE STIFF AND STAY THAT WAY REGARDLESS IF THE BRAKE IS SET OR NOT. NEEDS FURTHER TROUBLESHOOTING. FOUND A LARGE AMOUNT OF AIR IN HYD SYS AFTER PURGE/BLEEDING BOTH LT AND RT BRAKES IAW AMM 32-40-00. RT BRAKE OPS CHECKED GOOD. BRAKE HOWLING ON TAXI CHECK FOR RT BRAKE. REMOVED LT WHEEL AND BRAKE ASSY AND FOUND IT WAS NOT ASSEMBLED CORRECTLY FROM THE OVERHAUL FACILITY, FOUR BOLTS THAT HOLD THE BRAKE ASSY TOGETHER ARE CLOCKED WRONG WHICH WILL NOT ALLOW THE BRAKE TO MOUNT THE GEAR FLANGE. INSTALLED LT BRAKE ASSY IAW AMM 32-40-00 AND LT WHEEL ASSY IAW AMM 32-40-00. BLED LT BRAKE SYS IAW MM 32-40-00. R & R LT BRAKE ASSY IAW MM 32-40-00. PERFORMED TAXI CHECK, TAXI CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER LANDING, THE BRAKES APPEARED TO WORK NORMALLY. PILOT APPLIED THE BRAKES BUT THE PEDALS WERE STIFF. IT FELT LIKE THE ANTI-SKID CHECK DURING TAXI OUT. A SECOND ATTEMPT WAS MADE AND THE BRAKES WERE STILL STIFF AND THE AIRPLANE WAS NOT SLOWING DOWN. COPILOT TRIED HIS BRAKES WITH THE SAME RESULT. APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKES TO GET THE AIRPLANE STOPPED ON THE RUNWAY. PERFORMED BRAKE BLEEDING AND EMERGENCY SYS PURGE IAW MM 32-40-00-201. SERVICED EMERGENCY NITROGEN. IAW MM 12-10-00. PERFORMED WOW SYS AND ANTI-SKID SYS TROUBLESHOOTING WITH NO DEFECTS FOUND. REPLACED ANTI-SKID CONTROL BOX WITH AN INSPECTED UNIT IAW AMM 32-40-00-201. OPS CHECKS GOOD.
AFTER LANDING, BRAKES APPLIED AND WORKED FINE. ACFT WAS TAXIING TO PARKING, PILOT APPLIED BRAKES AND NO RESULT. PEDALS WERE STIFF. SECOND ATTEMPT PROVIDED SAME RESULT. BRAKE PEDALS RELEASED AND BRAKES RETURNED TO NORMAL. R & R POWER BRAKE CONTROL VALVE IAW MM 32-40-00. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD.
PEDALS WERE STIFF WITH NO RESISTANCE AND PLANE WAS NOT SLOWING. UPON EMERGENCY BRAKE APPLICATION, THE BRAKE PEDALS REENGAGED. FOUND AIR IN BRAKE SYSTEM. PERFORMED BRAKE BLEED AND EMERGENCY SYSTEM PURGE IAW MM 32-40-00-201. SERVICED EMERGENCY BRAKE NITROGEN IAW MM 12-10-00. RESET AND SAFETIED EMERGENCY BRAKE CONTROL. TAXIED ACFT. BRAKES OPS CHECKED GOOD.
LEFT MAIN GEAR INDICATOR LIGHT IS INOPERATIVE. R & R LT GEAR INDICATION LAMP IAW MM 33-10-00. OPS CHECK GOOD.
CONTROL YOKE SLOPPY IN FIRST 2-3 INCHES OF TRAVEL, MORE PRONOUNCED IN LT TURNS. AT LOW SPEED (200 KIAS WITH FLAPS UP) THE FIRST 3 " OF TRAVEL HAS NO EFFECT. WITH FLT SPOILER DEPLOYED, YOKE IS NEARLY UNMOVABLE. CHKD OTBD & INBD SPOILER CABLE TENSIONS. FOUND LT OB SPOILER CABLE TENSION LOW & ADJUSTED TO WITHIN LIMITS. CHKD SPOILER CABLE TENSIONS. FOUND WITHIN LIMITS. INSP SPOILER CABLES. REINSTALLED A PULLEY GUIDE PIN FOUND LOOSE & REMOVED FOD. PERFORMED RANGE OF MOVEMENT OF SPOILERS & FOUND WITHIN LIMITS. DEPLOYED SPEED BRAKES & MOVED YOKE FULL TRAVEL LT & RT, NO DEFECTS NOTED. CHKD AUTOPILOT SPOILER SERVO CONTROL WITH A/P ENGAGED & OPS FOUND TO BE NORMAL. WORKED IAW AMM 27-60-00-201 AND 22-13-00-201.
AFTER SELECTING GEAR UP, GEAR RET NORMALLY BUT RED GEAR UNSAFE LT. REMAINED ILLUMINATED + DID NOT EXTINGUISH. GEAR EXTENSION WAS ALSO NORMAL AND RED UNSAFE LT EXTINGUISHED. RESEARCHED LANDING GEAR SYS. POSITIONED ACFT IN THE HANGAR. JACKED ACFT. SWUNG GEAR SEVERAL TIMES. INSPECTED DOWN LOCK, UP LOCK, AND DOOR SWITCHES ON BOTH MAIN AND NOSE GEAR. ALL SWITCHES APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION. CHECKED DOORS TO SEE IF DOORS LOCKED PROPERLY AND THEY DO, DURING SWING. ALSO CHECKED DOORS RIGS. THE NOSE AND MAIN GEAR DOOR CHECK GOOD. SWUNG GEARS SEVERAL TIMES AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE. CLEANED SWITCHED AND CONTACTS. PERFORMED MORE GEAR SWINGS. OPS CHECK GOOD. WORK DONE IAW MM 32-10-00. CALLED TECH SUPPORT, ADVISED
GREEN RIGHT MAIN GEAR LANDING LT DID NOT ILLUMINATE. LIGHT BULB WAS OPERATIVE. RAN CHECKLIST AND MADE NORMAL LANDING. REPLACED RT MLG DOWNLOCK SWITCH WITH NEW. OPS CHECKED GOOD IAW HAWKER 400XP MM 32-10-00.
AFTER T/O RED LIGHT IN HANDLE ILLUMINATED. CYCLED GEAR, GOT 3 GR AND 1 RD. RAN ALT GEAR EXT PROCEDURE. JACKED THE AIRCRAFT, SWUNG THE GEAR FOUND THAT THE MAIN GEAR DOORS WILL OPEN BUT WILL NOT CLOSE. TROUBLESHOT SYSTEM AND FOUND RELAY KIT IN PCB 162 BAD. REPLACED CIRCUIT BOARD P/N 128-364068-5 WITH A NEW BOARD FROM RAYTHEON IAW RAYTHEON STANDARD PRACTICES. CYCLES GEAR SEVERAL TIMES AND OBSERVED NORMAL CYCLES AND INDICATION IAW RAYTHEON 400/400A MM 32-30-00. SERVICED BLOW DOWN BOTTLE PER RAYTHEON 400/400A NN 12-00. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
