Part: GUARD — OUT OF POSITION (ELEVATOR CABLE) · airframe 2,710 hrs · 2,216 cycles

DURING AN UNDERFLOOR INSPECTION, FOUND THE CABLES FOR THE AILERON AUTOPILOT SERVO RUBBING ON THE CABLE DRUM GUARDS. FURTHER INVESTIGATION FOUND THE CABLE GUARDS CAN BE LOCATED IN DIFFERENT POSITIONS ON THE SERVO. THIS IS TO ALLOW FOR DIFFERENT CABLE ANGLES DEPENDING ON APPLICATION. CABLE GUARDS WERE REPOSITIONED TO ALLOW CLEARANCE BETWEEN CABLE AND GUARDS. GUARDS ARE ALUMINUM WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CABLES.

Part: DISPLAY — UNRELIABLE (COCKPIT)

AT FLIGHT LEVEL 34 K, FLIGHT CREW ENCOUNTERED STATIC BUILD UP IN THE COMM SYSTEM. IT WENT AWAY SHORTLY FOLLOWED BY AUTOPILOT DISCONNECTING AND PRIMARY DISPLAYS BECAME UNRELIABLE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY. ON THE GROUND, FLIGHT CREW POWERED DOWN THE AIRCRAFT AND POWERED IT BACK UP AGAIN RESULTED IN NORMAL SYSTEM OPERATION. CURRENTLY A THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF THE AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS IS UNDERWAY WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF MFG TECH ASSISTANCE. (K)
