PILOT REPORTED OIL LEAKING OUT OF RIGHT ENGINE. MAINTENANCE DISCOVER #2 ENGINE OIL SCAVENGE PUMP HAVING A PINHOLE LEAK AND THE HOUSING WAS REPLACED. INSPECTION DETERMINED THAT CAVITATION EROSION OF THE PUMP BODY IN A CORNER OF THE CAVITY HAD CREATED A HOLE. THIS IS FREQUENT ON THESE PUMP HOUSINGS. POST REPLACEMENT OF PUMP HOUSING LEAK CHECK WAS GOOD.
WHILE PERFORMING HEAVY MAINTENACE VISUAL INSPECTION FOUND LARGE CRACK ON LEFT HAND WING INBOARD LEADING EDGE RIB P/N: 114-120033-45. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED LEADING EDGE RIB IAW BEECH SRM.
PILOT REPORTED THAT THE ELEVATOR (PITCH) FROZE OR BOUND UP WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT FROM (ANC) FLYING INTO (SDP). MECHANIC REMOVED FLOOR BOARDS IN TAIL SECTION AND INSPECTED PULLEYS AND CABLES. FOUND PUDDLES OF WATER IN ZONES 5&6 AND ALSO BY ELEVATOR PULLEYS JUST AFT OF AFT PRESSURE BULKHEAD. WATER WAS CLEANED AND REMOVED FROM AREAS, FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF FLIGHT CONTROLS WERE SUCCESSFUL.
FLAPS FAILED TO EXTEND.
SMELL OF POSSIBLE ELECTRIC ON CLIMB.
COPILOT ATTITUDE INDICATOR SHOWING 5 - 10°, BANK TO RIGHT DURING LEVEL FLIGHT. RETURN TO AIRPORT OF DEPARTURE. REPLACED INOPERATIVE ATTITUDE GYRO, CHECKED GOOD.
PILOT REPORTED ELEC SMELL IN COCKPIT AFTER DEPARTURE. RETURNED TO ORIGINAL AIRPORT FOR UNEVENTFUL LANDING. LOCATED A PINCHED & SHORTED WIRE ON THE AFT RECIRCULATING FAN AT THE RESISTOR STACK. FAN UNIT REPLACED.
PILOT REPORTED APPEARANCE OF SMOKE IN COCKPIT AT TOUCHDOWN. REPORTED AS POSSIBLY COMING FROM BLEED AIR, OILY SMELL. CORRECTED AN OIL LEAK AT THE LT OIL COOLER INBD FITTING & REPLACED O RING AT FITTING, CLEANED DUCTING AS REQUIRED. OIL LINE AT LEAKING FITTING WITH THIS O RING WAS REMOVED & REINSTALLED 13.3 FLIGHT HOURS PRIOR, FOR OTHER MX.
NOSE WHEEL STEERING VERY DIFFICULT TO USE. HARD TO MANIPULATE RUDDER PEDALS WHILE ON GND. FOUND LT RUDDER BELLCRANK MOUNT BRACKET LOOSE WITH ONE CRACKED MOUNT EAR, ALLOWING BELLCRANK TO RUB. REPLACED BRACKET & COMPLIED WITH RECOMMENDED SERVICE BULLETIN SB27-3895. REPLACEMENT OF BRACKET MOUNTING HARDWARE.
PILOT REPORTED AIR STAIR DOOR OPERATION VERY STIFF, INSIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE WHILE TRYING TO OPEN. REPLACED DOOR HANDLE & LUBED DOOR SYS.
AFTER TAKEOFF PILOT REPORTED THAT HE SAW SMOKE & COULD SMELL FUMES IN COCKPIT. PILOT DECLARED EMERGENCY & RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AIRPORT ANC WITHOUT INCIDENT. MX IDENTIFIED THE SOURCE OF THE SMELL AS FAILED BEARINGS LOCATED THE FWD VENTILATION BLOWER, NO DAMAGE DISCOVERED. REPLACED THE FAILED BLOWER & THE FLIGHT CREW PERFORMED A SATISFACTORY OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT. THE ACFT WAS THEN RETURNED TO SERVICE.
CRACK FOUND IN RT AILERON BALANCE WEIGHT CLIP WHILE PERFORMING BORESCOPE INSPECTION OF CLIP.
AIRCRAFT DEPARTED, ON REACHING AN ALTITUDE OF 20,000 FT THE FORWARD ENTRY DOOR WARNING ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CREW BURNED OFF EXECESS FUEL AND RETURNED TO BASE. MX PERSONNEL FOUND THE UPPER DOOR AJAR WARNING SWITCH BRACKET WAS BENT. THE BRACKET WAS STRAIGHTENED AND THE SWITCH WAS READJUSTED. THE DOOR WARNING SYSTEM OPERATIONALLY CHECKED GOOD AND THE AIRPLANE WAS RELEASED FOR SERVICE.
DURING FLIGHT 765, ENROUTE, THE PILOT OBSERVED TORQUE SURGES OF 400 FT LBS. TO 1,000 FT LBS. ON THE NR 1 ENGINE. THE ENGINE WAS SHUTDOWN AND THE FLIGHT CONTINUED ON TO ANC. ON LANDING, MX FOUND THE OIL FILTER CONTAMINATED WITH METAL DEBRIS AND CHUNKS OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE PARTS OF A BEARING RACE AT THE REDUCTION GEAR BOX SCREEN. THE ENGINE WILL BE REMOVED AND SENT TO THE MFG FOR EVALUATION.
