CORROSION WAS FOUND IN FUSELAGE SKIN AT LT AFT FUSELAGE AT VACUUM WASTE EXHAUST, STA 907-927, S21L TO S22L DURING A WALKAROUND. THE SKIN WAS REPAIRED IAW ECRA 5330-03715 AND A DIP WAS INITIATED TO PERFORM A PERMANENT REPAIR WITHIN 12 MONTHS.
INSPECTION FOUND THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS AT RT SIDE OVERHEAD BIN INOPERATIVE FROM EMERGENCY EXIT (ROW 16) TO ROW 20. THE BATTERY PACK WAS REPLACED IAW MM 33-51-06.
THE NLG WOULD NOT EXTEND WHEN GEAR WAS LOWERED ON APPROACH TO AUS. A GO AROUND WAS PERFORMED AND THE TOWER CONFIRMED THAT THE GEAR WAS STILL UP. A MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION WAS PERFORMED AND THE NOSE GEAR EXTENDED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT AUS WITHOUT INCIDENT. EXTENSIVE TROUBLESHOOTING BY MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NLG LOCK ACTUATOR AT FAULT. THE LOCK ACTUATOR WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED IAW MM 32-33-21. A GEAR SWING WAS PERFORMED SEVERAL TIMES AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD.
THE NR 2 ENGINE AUTO SHUTDOWN WHILE AT 6,000 FEET ON APPROACH TO IAH. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. BITE TESTS ON THE HMU AND EEC INDICATED THAT BOTH NEEDED TO BE CHANGED. THE NR 2 ENGINE HMU AND NR 2 ENGINE EEC WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED. SUPPLEMENT ADDS PART INFORMATION FOR HMU.
