WITH HEATER TURNED ON THERE IS FUEL SMELL IN CABIN. INSPECTED WITH NO ISSUES FOUND. GROUND RAN AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE.
FUEL SMELL IN CABIN UPON TAKE OFF. FOUND FUEL SEEP AT FUEL CONTROL UNIT.
DURING A 300 HR PERIODIC INSPECTION, FOUND A CRACK IN THE RT WEB OF THE VERTICAL TUNNEL LOCATED NEAR THE TOP OF THE PANEL ALONG THE AFT EDGE NEAR THE INTERFACE WITH THE BOX BEAM.
DIRECTIONAL GYRO'S HEADING SYNCHRO OUTPUTS ERRATIC. TIME SINCE REPAIR 227:35 HOURS.

ON APRIL 2, 1998 AT 1236 IN CRUISE FLIGHT, NR 2 ENGINE FUEL FILTER LIGHT ILLUMINATED. RETURNED TO GLENDALE AIRPORT. TROUBLESHOOTING IN PROGRESS.
ON MARCH 30, 1998 DURING CRUISE FLIGHT, NR 2 FUEL FILTER LIGHT CAME ON. PILOT TURNED A/C TO RETURN TO BASE. APPROXIMATELY 5 MINUTES LATER, THE NR 1 FUEL FILTER LIGHT ILLUMINATED. LANDED IN THE DESERT ONE MILE SOUTH OF WITTMAN, AZ. MAINTENANCE SAMPLED FUEL, REPLACED FILTER ELEMENTS. NO ABNORMALITIES NOTED. REPLACED NR 1 ENGINE FUEL FILTER ASSY AND FUEL PUMP. SUSPECT ROOT CAUSE WAS MOISTURE IN BOTH ENGINE FUEL FILTER SWITCHES. (THERE HAD BEEN RECORD RAINFALL IN THE PRECEDING DAYS).

T/R HEAD BEARING BUSHING SEATS AND SEAL RIDE WORN.
BLADE LEADING EDGE WORN THROUGH AT TIP CAP.

INSPECTION REVEALED FUEL LEAK IN BEND OF FORWARD LINE BETWEEN FUEL NOZZLES AT 9 O'CLOCK POSITION. REPLACED FUEL MANIFOLD. INSTALLED S/N 1NL06437.

DISPLAY IS BAD. FOUND SEGMENTS TO BE MISSING IN DISPLAY. REPLACED DISPLAY. REPAIRED PROBLEM. LOWER DOT ON COLON IS BRIGHT AND IS CONSTANTLY LIT. REPLACED INTEGRATED CIRCUIT I507. REPAIRED PROBLEM. BENCH CHECK GOOD.
