DURING CRUISE FLIGHT, DETECTED ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR. ABORTED FLIGHT AND RETURNED TO BASE OF OPERATIONS, ON ARRIVAL, DIDNâT NOTICE ANY BURNING ODOR, AFTER INSPECTING ALL ELECTRICAL AREAS AND THE ENTIRE ACFT NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF BURNING OR CHAFING WAS DETECTED, PERFORMED GROUND RUN FOR 15 MINUTES, NO DETECTION OF BURNING ODOR WAS DETECTED, RETURNED TO SERVICE.
30 MM CRACK AT THE OUTER CIRCUMFERENCE (ADJACENT TO ONE OF THE ATTACH SCREWS) ON FAIRING ASSY PN L642A2028102. THE CRACK EXTENDS TOWARD THE CTR OF THE FAIRING ASSY. THE CRACK WAS DISCOVERED DURING A WALK AROUND OF THE ACFT.
CLUTCH IS NOT ENGAGING (NOT HEARD OR FELT). REPLACED WITH NEW UNIT, CORRECTED PROBLEM.
PILOT REPORTED THAT 10 MINUTES INTO CRUISE FLIGHT DURING NORMAL CROSS CHECK HE NOTICED HEADING WAS STARTING TO DRIFT. PILOT WAS UNABLE TO RESELECT AUTO PILOT HEADING. AUTO PILOT HAD FAILED. CONTROL HEAD STILL INDICATED THE AUTO PILOT WAS ENGAGED. DID NOT RECEIVE A DECOUPLE OR AUTO PILOT CAUTION ON CDS OR AP TRIM WARNING. ALL INDICATIONS WERE THAT THE AUTO PILOT WAS FUNCTIONING. CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS AN INTERNAL RESISTOR IN THE CONTROL HEAD (AMPS 2100) HAD DISLODGED AND WAS ROLLING FREE INSIDE OF THE UNIT.
COCKPIT DISPLAY UNIT, INTERMITTENT MISSING DIGIT SEGMENTS AT MAIN FUEL QUANTITY INDICATION AND TORQUE DISPLAY. REPLACED WITH NEW UNIT, CORRECTED PROBLEM.
