FLT 0474 - GSO - THE GREEN SYSTEM HYDRAULIC QUANTITY DECREASED SLOWLY INTO THE RED BAND WHILE IN FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DIVERTED TO GSO WHERE IT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND A HYDRAULIC LINE ON THE RT MLG LEAKING. THE HYDRAULIC LINE WAS REPLACED. THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WAS SERVICED AND LEAK CHECKS WERE GOOD. (W)

Part: COMPRESSOR VANE — WORN (NR 1 ENGINE)

FLT NR 0648 - IAH - TAKEOFF WAS ABORTED AT APPROXIMATELY 80 KNOTS AFTER THE NR 1 ENGINE STALLED, ACCOMPANIED BY A LOUD BANG. THE NR 1 ENGINE WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. S/D THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF FAILURE WAS DUE TO A HIGH PRESSURE COMPRESSOR STAGE 8 VANE LIBERATION, PROBABLY CAUSED BY WEAR OF THE AFT DOVETAIL LIP. (M)
