EMERG DECLARED AND ACFT SAFELY LANDED USING ENG POWER AND TRIM. INVEST FOUND THE DOWN ELEVATOR CABLE HAD CHAFED THROUGH AN ELEC WIRE BENEATH THE PILOT'S SEAT AND CABLE WAS BURNED THROUGH.
