Part: FUEL CONTROL — LEAK (ENGINE)
EN ROUTE, STRONG SMELL OF FUEL WAS NOTICED IN THE COCKPIT. INITIALLY SUSPECTED ONE OF THE PASSENGERS WHO HAD PREVIOUSLY REFUELED AIRCRAFT HAD GOTTEN FUEL ON HIS CLOTHING. AFTER LANDING, FUEL WAS OBSERVED COMING FROM FUEL CONTROL UNIT. FOUND FUEL CONTROL LEAKING AT METERING VALVE. REMOVED AND REPLACED FUEL CONTROL. PERFORMED REQUIRED MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

Part: FITTING — CRACKED (FWD CROSS-TUBE)
DURING SERVICE CHECK, NOTED FORWARD CROSS-TUBE FITTING CRACKED. FITTING FOUND CRACKED IN THE SAME AREA AS REPORTED ON MDR SUBMITTED ON 2-7-94. THE FITTING WAS MANUFACURED IN OCTOBER, 1992, WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED CRACKED FITTINGS.
Part: FITTING — CRACKED (FWD CROSS-TUBE)
A FORWARD CROSS-TUBE FITTING WAS FOUND CRACKED DURING THE DAILY INSPECTION. THE CRACK HAD PROPAGATED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 75 PERCENT OF THE BOSS AREA THAT SECURES THE CROSS-TUBE TO THE FITTING. THE CRACK WAS FORTUNATELY DISCOVERED PRIOR TO A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE FITTING. (X)
