DURING MAINTENANCE FOUND PUSH ROD CRACKED. MATERIAL IS PUSHED IN AN OUTWARD DIRECTION, INSPECTED AND FOUND WRONG PART NUMBER ROD END BEARING INSTALLED AT TOP OF ROD. ROD END BEARING HAS SLOT CUT IN THREADS. SUBMITTER SUSPECTS WATER ENTERED INTERIOR OF TUBE THROUGH SLOT, FROZE, AND CRACKED PUSH ROD.
REMOVED GAUGE FOR NEEDLE RAPID FLUCTUATION - 20-50 DEGREES, SPIKING WILDLY OCCASIONALLY.
JFK-PNE - FLT 176 - THE RT MLG FAILED TO EXTEND NORMALLY, EMERGENCY EXTENSION PERFORMED, NO TRANSIENT LIGHT ILLUMINATED DURING EXTENSION. GREASED RT MLG, FUNCTIONALLY CHECKED EXTENSION AND RETRACTION THROUGH TEN CYCLES WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. (W)
ORF-PNE - FLT 7570 - WHILE ON APPROACH, THE NR 4 ENGINE OIL PRESSURE CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CREW SECURED THE ENGINE FOR LANDING. MAINTENANCE FREED AND RESEATED CARBON SEAL. PERFORMED ACTION IAW P AND W MM 72-05-00 PG 629. ENGINE WAS RUNUP FOR EXTENDED DURATION AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD. (W)
