MHT - DURING THE APPROACH TO LANDING THE NOSE WHEEL GEAR LIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. PILOT DID A GO AROUND, CIRCLED AIRPORT AT 2000 FT AND RECYCLED GEAR TO MAKE SURE THE LIGHT WAS NOT MALFUNCTIONING. THE TEST LIGHT SHOWED THE THREE GREEN LIGHTS WERE WORKING. THE PILOT DECLARED EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AIRCRAFT AND FOUND A BROKEN WIRE IN THE POSITION INDICATION CIRCUIT FOR THE NOSE GEAR. WIRE WAS REPAIRED AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS PERFORMED SATISFACTORILY. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.

FLIGHT 1130 PBG-BUF - WHILE ON APPROACH THE PILOT REDUCED POWER AND THE LT ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND. THE PILOT RECEIVED VECTORS OFF THE APPROACH AND DISCOVERED THE ENGINE COULD INCREASE POWER BUT COULD NOT REDUCE POWER. THE PILOT ELECTED TO SHUTDOWN THE LT ENGINE AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THE FLIGHT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE EVALUATED THE AIRCRAFT AND SUSPECTED A FAULTY FUEL CONTROL UNIT. THE FCU WAS REPLACED WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT, RIGGED AND RUN WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

FLIGHT 1130 BUF-PBG - WHILE ON DESCENT TO PBG THE PILOT REDUCED POWER TO THE LEFT ENGINE BUT THE ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND. THE PILOT INDICATED THAT POWER COULD BE INCREASED BUT WOULD NOT REDUCE BELOW 1200LBS/TQ AND 92 PERCENT NG. THE PILOT ELECTED TO SHUTDOWN THE LEFT ENGINE, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED IN PBG WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE RAN THE AIRCRAFT AND SUSPECTED ICE ON THE CABLES. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL CLEANED, INSPECTED AND LUBRICATED THE ENGINE CONTROL LINKAGES AND PERFORMED ANOTHER GROUND RUN WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
