Part: CONTROL MODULE — FAULTED (ZONE 700) · airframe 42,071 hrs · 56,901 cycles

PILOT REPORTED THAT WHILE RUNNING THE BEFORE LANDING FLOW CHECKLIST, THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL HANDLE WAS UNABLE TO BE SELECTED TO THE DOWN POSITION. THEN SWITCHED TO THE ABNORMAL LANDING PROCEDURE CHECKLIST AND WAS ABLE TO MANUALLY EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR TO LAND WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL MODULE FAULTY AND REPLACED THE UNIT. EXTENSION AND RETRACTION CHECKS ON AIRCRAFT JACKS WERE SUCCESSFUL AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
