MHT - ON APPROACH TOT MHT PILOT SELECTED GEAR DOWN. NO MOVEMENT NOTED. CHECKED GEAR CIRCUIT BREAKER AND NOTICED IS WAS OUT. PILOT PUSHED BREAKER IN AND IT WOULD NOT STAY IN. PILOT PUSHED BREAKER IN WITH GEAR HANDLE SELECTED DOWN AND GEAR CAME DOWN, WITH THREE GREEN INDICATED. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH OUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED GEAR FOR DAMAGE OR OBSTRUCTIONS. NONE NOTED. CLEANED AND LUBRICATED GEAR PER MM CHAPTER 12-20-00. NOTED MOISTURE IN PURGED GREASE. CONTINUED GREASING UNTIL NO MOISTURE CAME OUT. PERFORMED GEAR SWINGS IAW MM 32-31-01. NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
FLIGHT 1090 MHT-RKD 25 NM FROM DESTINATION RIGHT OIL PRESSURE ANNUNCIATOR ILLUMINATED AND PILOT NOTED OIL PRESSURE AT 20PSI, TORQUE WAS 600 FT-LBS WITH BOTH INDICATIONS WERE FLUCTUATING. NO YAW NOTED. AT 4000FT PILOT REDUCED POWER FOR DESCENT AND RIGHT ENGINE LOST POWER. PILOT SHUT DOWN RIGHT ENGINE AND EXECUTED SINGLE-ENGINE LANDING WITHOUT INCIDENT. PRELIMINARY MAINTENANCE EVALUATION REVEALED THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX/REAR OF ENGINE OIL SOAKED. FURTHER EVALUATION DID NOT REVEAL THE SOURCE OF THE OIL LEAK. THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED FROM SERVICE AND SENT TO A REPAIR FACILITY FOR FURTHER EVALUATION AND REPAIR.
FLIGHT 1064 MHT-BTV DURING APPROACH SELECTED GEAR DOWN. THE GEAR INTRANSIT LIGHT REMAINED ILLUM AND THE LANDING GEAR C/B POPPED. THE GEAR DID NOT EXTEND. RESET THE C/B AND REATTEMPTED GEAR EXTENSION. THE LOW HYDRAULIC LIGHT ILLUM AND THE C/B POPPED AGAIN. ELECTED TO RETURN TO MHT AFTER DISCUSSION WITH FLT OPS. WITHIN 40NM OF MHT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND USED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION PROCEDURES. THE GEAR EXTENDED NORMALLY AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A LEAKING HYD LINE FITTING. THE LINE WAS TIGHTENED AND THE HYD SYSTEM WAS SERVICED. OPERATIONAL CHECKS OF THE GEAR DID NOT REVEAL ANY OTHER MALFUNCTIONS AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
FLIGHT 1043 (PWM-MHT) JUST AFTER DEPARTURE THE PILOT NOTED A BURNING SMELL AND SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT COMING FROM UNDER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FOLLOWED SHORTLY BY THE SOUND OF A POPPING CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE PILOT IDENTIFIED THE CIRCUIT BREAKER AS THE COMBUSTION HEATER CB AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THE SMOKE BEGAN TO CLEAR. THE FLIGHT CONTINUED TO THE DESTINATION WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DETERMINED THE SMOKE WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY COMBUSTION HEATER. THE HEATER WAS DEFERRED UNDER MEL 21-1 AND RETURNED TO SERVICE.
