ACFT DEPARTED AT 1112Z, AFTER TAKEOFF, LANDING GEAR WAS RETRACTED AND THE RED GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OUT. PILOT CYCLED GEAR WITH NO CHANGE. PUT GEAR BACK DOWN AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MX DETERMINED THAT THE CAUSE WAS THE UPLOCK INDICATION SWITCHES WERE OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. ADJUSTMENT WAS MADE IAW THE MM AND THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

ATA 3231

FLIGHT 1057 DEPARTED MHT FOR MPV AND AFTER GEAR RETRACTION THE GEAR IN TRANSIT LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RETURN THE GEAR TO THE DOWN POSITION BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO GET PROPER GEAR INDICATIONS THAT THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED. THE PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO MHT AND PERFORMED MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION. AFTER PERFORMING A MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO GET THE PROPER INDICATIONS FOR GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE EVALUATION FOUND EXCESSIVE PLAY IN THE LT INBOARD GEAR DOOR BARREL CLEVIS, BOLT CLEVIS AND DOOR ACTUATOR PLATE BUSHING. THESE PARTS WERE REPLACED AND SEVERAL OPERATIONAL CHECKS OF THE LANDING GEAR SYSTEM WERE PERFORMED WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

AIRCRAFT 195WA DEPART MPV-MHT FLIGHT 1057. 15NM FROM MPV THE PILOT NOTED SPARKS AND SMOKE COMING FROM THE CB PANEL WITH INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS FLICKERING AND ATTITUDE INDICATOR CB POPPED. THE PILOT ADVISED ATC OF THE SITUATION AND RETURNED TO MPV AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. INSPECTION REVEALED WATER HAD LEAKED FROM THE WINDSHIELD INTO THE CB PANEL CAUSING A SHORT CIRCUIT THAT RESULTED IN SMOKE AND SPARKS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED BY MAINTENANCE AND RELATED PARTS WERE DRIED AND OPERATIONALLY CHECKED. INOPERATIVE SYSTEMS WERE DEFERRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MEL PROCEDURES. THE LEAKING AREAS WERE IDENTIFIED AND TEMPORARILY REPAIRED IN ORDER TO FERRY THE AIRCRAFT TO A MAINTENANCE FACILITY (MHT) FOR PERMANENT REPAIR. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE LEAKING AREAS WERE SEALED AND UPPER CB PANEL PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD WAS REPLACED. NO FURTHER DEFECTS WERE NOTED.

FLIGHT 1058 (MHT-MPV) EN ROUTE PILOT NOTICED SMOKE AND SMELL OF BURNING WIRES IN COCKPIT BETWEEN LEB VOR AND MPV VOR. THE PILOT ELECTED TO CONTINUE TO MPV AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE EVALUATION REVEALED SMOKE COMING FOR WEATHER RADAR INDICATOR. THE RADAR INDICATOR WAS REMOVED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND THE SYSTEM WAS DEFERRED PER MEL 34-4 AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE WITH NO OTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
