ATA 3200

AFTER DEPARTURE FROM KOMA, THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT RETRACT WITH THE GEAR HANDLE IN THE UP POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT PERFORMED A FLY-BY OF THE ATC TOWER TO CONFIRM GEAR WAS DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT IN KOMA. PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. WHEN MAINTENANCE WAS ABLE TO ACCESS AIRCRAFT, THEY NOTED THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS SELECTED UP AND FOUND LANDING GEAR CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED. INSPECTED ASSOCIATED LANDING GEAR WIRING AND COMPONENTS, AND NO OBVIOUS ISSUES WERE FOUND. RESET LANDING GEAR CIRCUIT BREAKER AND PERFORMED GEAR OPERATIONAL CHECKS WHICH WERE SATISFACTORY. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. NO PARTS WERE FOUND DEFECTIVE OR REQUIRED REPLACEMENT.

DURING APPROACH PILOT SELECTED LG TO THE EXTENDED POSITION. PILOT BEGIN TO SMELL WHAT APPEARED TO BE ELEC SMOKE EMITTING INTO COCKPIT FROM THE UPPER LT CORNER OF THE RT CB PANEL. THE SMOKE CEASED WITHIN 10 - 20 SECONDS OF BEING NOTICED. PILOT DECIDED SINCE AIRCRAFT WAS ON FINAL APPROACH TO CONTINUE & LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. REMOVED CB COVER PANEL, PERFORMED INSPECTION. NO DEFECT NOTED DURING INSPECTION, ENERGIZED CB PANEL & CYCLED SIX TOP LT CBS WITH NO DEFECTS. COULD NOT DUPLICATE DISCREPANCY.

WHEN TURNING FINAL, LEFT ENGINE FIRE LIGHT CAME ON. FUEL FLOW WAS READING LOW. NO VISUAL INDICATION OF FIRE WAS NOTED. FUEL SHUT-OFF WAS PULLED, ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAITNENANCE FOUND WATER IN FIREWALL CANNON PLUG. REMOVED WATER AND INSULATED PLUG. ALL SYSTEMS CHECKED GOOD.
