Maintenance disclosures
AN EXTERNAL ENGINE INSPECTION WAS ACCOMPLISHED. CRACKS WERE FOUND EXTENDING OUT FROM EACH OF THE ATTACH HOLES, 3 EA, ON THE LPC ROTATING NOSE CONE FAIRING. THE NOSE CONE FAIRING WAS REPLACED.
DURING A LANDING GEAR OPERATIONAL CHECK, FOUND THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR DOOR AFT HINGE BEARING MIGRATED OUT OF HINGE FITTING. BEARING WAS NOT SWAGED IN HINGE. SWAGED NEW BEARING P/N MS14101-6 INTO HINGE FITTING. OPERATIONAL CHECK NORMAL.
DURING FIRST ROUTINE 72 MONTH INSPECTION ON THIS AIRCRAFT, WHEN RIGHT WING WEDGE WAS REMOVED, INSPECTION FOUND THE INBOARD SUPPORT CHANNEL, P/N 1159W20194-1XD, S/N 860100 WAS CRACKED. THIS WAS CAUSED BY IMPROPER INSTALLATION DURING AIRCRAFT PRODUCTION. THE WING WEDGE HAS TO SLOPE TO INTERFACE WITH THE WING. THIS WING WEDGE WAS FLAT, CAUSING STRESS ON THE CHANNEL, WHICH THEN CRACKED. (M)
DURING AIRCRAFT CLEANING, THE LEFT PYLON AFT METAL FAIRING WAS FOUND TORN. THIS ITEM IS NOT IDENTIFIED IN THE GIV IPC OR THE GIV SRM. GAC IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND DOES HAVE A HAND DRAWING OF THE FAIRING. GULFSTREAM NEEDS TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM WHEN THIS MUCH DAMAGE IS NOTED ON AN AIRCRAFT WITH ONLY 1688.4 HOURS, 726 CYCLES AND PROVIDE A REPAIR OR UPGRADED PART, LIST THE ITEMS IN THE IPC/SRM, AND ADVISE GULFSTREAM OPERATORS OF THIS DEFECT. THE PART WAS REPLACED PRIOR TO THE NEX FLIGHT.
AFTER LANDING AND DURING TAXI, FLIGHT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM (RT) INDICATED RED (LOW LEVEL). MAINTENANCE FOUND RT ACOUSTIC FILTER, PN 840-30114, SN 594A, MANUFACTURED BY PULSCO DIVISION OF TOLO, INC., SANTA ANA, CA, LEAKING AROUND THE UPPER WELD. UPON REMOVING FILTER, 1 INTER BAFFLE FELL OUT. ROUTED UNIT TO GAC FOR EVALUATION.
