AFTER TAKEOFF, RIGHT ENGINE STARTED TO BACKFIRE AND RUN ROUGH. ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN AS A PRECAUTIONARY METHOD. UPON TROUBLESHOOTING, FOUND LT MAG BAD. MAG WAS REPLACED WITH A YELLOW TAGGED UNIT. ENGINE WAS GROUND RUN, CHECKED SATISFACTORY. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
