FOUND FLAPS AT 20 DEG & HANDLE AT 0 DEG. INTERROGATED CMC & UNDER SERVICE MESSAGE HISTORY FOUND A FLAP MOTOR 2 OVERHEAT POST WITH TODAYS DATE. PERFORMED FLAP RESET AND. PERFORMED SEVERAL OPS CHECKS, ALL NORMAL. PER CRC PERFORMED STEPS IN FLAPS FAIL TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE USING NOTED MM REFRENCES AND FOUND NO DEFECTS. R & R WITH REPALRED LT & RT BDU UNITS IAW AMM 27-51-07. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
ON POSTFLIGHT, THERE IS A STRONG JET-A ODOR IN THE AFT E/E BAY. NO VISIBLE LEAKS. CREW THAT STARTED THE DAY WITH THIS ACFT SAID IT WAS NOT THERE IN THE MORNING PRIOR TO APU OR ENGINES RUNNING. FOUND APU FUEL SUPPLY LINE TO BE LEAKING. R & R FUEL SUPPLY LINE AND UNION FITTING O-RING WITH NEW UNITS IAW AMM 49-31-22. OPS/LEAK CHECK ARE GOOD CURRENTLY. FOUND TAIL TANK REFUEL SHUTOFF VALVE AFT FUEL SHROUD DRAIN BE WET WITH FUEL. R & R TAIL TANK REFUEL SHUTOFF VALVE WITH INSPECTED UNIT IAW AMM 28-25-22. OPS & LEAK CHKD GOOD CURRENTLY. FOUND CRACK ON AFT REFUEL/DEFUEL SOV FITTING. REMOVED AND REPLACED AFT REFUEL/DEFUEL SOV FITTING IAW 28-25-22. OPS/LEAK CHECK IS GOOD. NO OTHER FUEL LEAKS DETECTED.
PAX DOOR OUT HNDL AMBER CAS: UNABLE TO LATCH MAIN CABIN DOOR. PAX DOOR OUT HANDLE EICAS INSPECTED AND FOUND DOOR LATCH MECHANISM TO BE OUT OF SEQUENCE. LUBRICATED DOOR LATCH MECHANISM AND COMPONENTS. OPS CHECK GOOD, NO DEFECTS NOTED AT THIS TIME.
LABS EXTENDED NORMALLY DURING THE PREFLIGHT PORTION OF THE FLIGHT PER THE CHECKLIST. AFTER DEPARTURE WHEN THE PILOT FLYING CALLED FOR FLAT, ZERO THE FLAPS FAILED TO MOVE AND WE GOT THE AMBER FLAPS FAIL.EICAS MESSAGE. WE RAN THE APPROPRIATE CHECKLIST, DIVERTED AND LANDED AT ANOTHER AIRPORT. REMOVED SUSPECTED FAULTY FLAP CONTROLLER PN: 8-341-06 SN: D1259.INSTALLED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED TESTED FLAP CONTROLLER PN: 8-341-06 SN: D1167. COMPLLED WITH SATISFACTORY OPS CHECKS OF THE FLAPS, NO DEFECTS NOTED REF CL-650 AMM 27-51-04
AFTER T/O. ACFT FAILIED TO PRESURIZE FRM APU. RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AIRPORT. CABIN CONTROLLER WAS SET TO 0 & 30.00. REMOVED DEFECTIVE EJECTOR JET & INSTALLED A NEW EJECTOR JET IAW 21-31-04. OPS CHKD GOOD. REMOVED CABIN PRESSURE SELECTOR VALVE & INSTALLED REPAIRED SELECTOR VALVE IAW AMM 21-31-10. REMOVED EJECTOR JET &PERFORMED VISUAL INSP. NO DEFECTS NOTED. PERFORMED VISUAL INSP OF EJECTOR JET CONNECTING TUBES. NO DEFECTS NOTED. INSTALLED EJECTOR JET IN IT`S ORIG POSITION. WORK IAW AMM 21-31-04. REMOVED DEFECTIVE EJECTOR JET & INSTALLED SUPPLIED EJECTOR JET IAW 21-31-04. CONNECTED BATTERIES, ENERGIZED ACFT & STARTED APU. PERFORMED PRESSURE OPS CHK, MANUAL & AUTO MODES IAW 21-31-00. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
AFTER TAKEOFF WE NOTICED A BURNING ODOR IN COCKPIT, F/A REPORTED A BURNING ODOR IN CABIN. ODOR WAS NOT ELECTRICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, OIL, OR DEICE FLUID ODOR, SMELLED LIKE HOT AIR. ODOR DISSIPATED IN APPRX 1 MIN. ON INVESTIGATION, FOUND GALLEY EXHAUST FAN CB TRIPPED ON PANEL. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE GALLEY EXHAUST FAN. OPS CHECKED GOOD, NO DEFECTS. OPS CHECKED AGAIN NO DEFECTS OR ODORS FOUND. OPERATED ALL COCKPIT, CABIN ENTERTAINMENT AND GALLEY EQUIPMENT TO INCLUDE CHILLER. CHECKED ALL PROTABLE MONITORS, ALL CABIN LIGHTING AND GALLEY EQUIPMENT WITH NO SMOKE OR SMELLS NOTED.
MAIN DOOR VENT DOOR: UPON TAKEOFF IT WAS NOTED THAT AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT PRESSURIZE. WE TRIED MANUAL MODE PER QRH. DID NOT HELP. STAYED AT 10000' MSL AND FOR DIVERSION AIRPORT. AFTER 45 MINUTES PRESSURIZATION STRTED WORKING AND WE SUSPECT VENT DOOR NOT CLOSING WITH HANDLE IN DOOR./// CORRECITVE ACTION/// POWERED UP APU, STARTED L/H AND R/H ENGINES. PERFORMED PRESSURIZATION CHECK GOOD. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
