PT 1 HEATER FAIL ANNUNCIATION. MAINTENANCE FOUND #1 PITOT HEAT SWITCH WITH HOLE MELTED IN SIDE OF SWITCH HOUSING AND SWITCH CONNECTOR WITH MELTED AREAS AROUND FEMALE SPADE CONNECTORS.
ALB - PILOT REPORTED THAT THE COCKPIT EVACUATION LIGHT WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WITH COCKPIT SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY. OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD. (M)
BOS - FLT 2993 - ON CLIMB-OUT FROM BOS, EN ROUTE TO FLL, THE NR 1 GENERATOR BUS OFF LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CREW TRIED TO RESET GENERATOR WITH NO HELP. THE APU WAS ALREADY ON MEL SO THE FLIGHT RETURNED TO FIELD AT BOS AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHR INCIDENT. NO EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. MAINTENANCE REPAIRED THE NR 1 ENGINE GENERATOR FEEDER CABLES AT LEADING EDGE OF LEFT WING, INBOARD SIDE, PER BOEING STANDARD PRACTICE 20-30-13 AND 20-61-19. R/R'D DRAIN PLUG ASSY ALONG WITH MAGNETIC CHIP DETECTOR. NO CONTAMINATION WAS NOTED ON REMOVED PLUG. R/R'D IN LINE FILTER. NO CONTAMINATION NOTED. SAFETY WIRED THE MENTIONED ITEMS AND RAN ENG. BWI - FL250, ON CLIMB-OUT OF BWI, THE NR 1 ENGINE OVERHEAT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CAPTAIN BROUGHT POWER BACK TO IDLE AND LGIHT EXTINGUISHED. FLIGHT RETURNED TO FIELD AT BWO WITH NR 1 ENGINE AT IDLE. CAPTAIN DID DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. FLIGHT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE NR 1 ENGINE WAS NOT SHUT DOWN IN FLIGHT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NR 1 ENGINE FUEL HEAT MANIFOLD ASSY HAD BLOWN. LOWERED NR 1 ENGINE TO GAIN ACCESS TO MANIFOLD. REPLACED MANIFOLD. REINSTALLED ENGINE. OPERATIONAL CHECK AND LEAK CHECK GOOD. (M)
