DURING DISASSEMBLY OF 234 FWD ROTOR HEAD ASSEMBLY P/N: 414R2001-18, S/N: A4-1425 ON SWO-060358-20, DISCOVERED GREEN TIE BAR ASSEMBLY HAS CRACK IN UPPER PLATE IN OUTER CIRCUMFERENCE OF OUTBOARD LUG AREA.
AFT ROTOR HEAD WAS IN SHOP FOR A SCHEDULED CENTER ROTOR HUB REPLACEMENT. DURING DISASSEMBLY, HORIZONTAL PIN LOCKING BEAM FOUND TO BE CRACKED. RESEARCH REVEALS THE CRACKED LOCKING BEAM TO BE AN OUTLIER. REPLACED AND COMPONENT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
STRAP WAS FOUND BOWED AND HAD NINE BROKEN PLATES.
APU WAS REMOVED FROM ACFT FOR REPORTED "LOUD SCREECHING" AND OIL LEAKING FROM INLET. ONCE INLET HOUSING WAS SEPARATED FROM REDUCTION DRIVE HOUSING IT WAS NOTED THAT THE OIL SLINGER NUT WAS BROKEN & CRACKED.
DURING A CLIMB, CRUISE SITUATION, THE NR 1 ENGINE N2 SYSTEM, BEGAN TO OSCILLATE TOWARDS THE HIGH SIDE. THE NR 1 ENGINE WAS BROUGHT BACK TO GROUND POSITION AND THE HELICOPTER WAS RETURNED TO THE SERVICE LANDING. TROUBLESHOOTING FOUND A FAULTY CANNON PLUG ATTACHED TO THE NR 1 N2 ACTUATOR. THE CANNON PLUG WAS REPLACED. OPERATIONALLY CHECKED GOOD AND THE HELICOPTER WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
AT TAKEOFF AND INTO CRUISE FLIGHT, THE NR 2 ENGINE BEGAN OSCILLATING AND GOING TO HIGH SIDE. THE NR 2 ENGINE WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE GROUND POSITION AND HELICOPTER WAS RETURNED TO THE SERVICE LANDING. TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED CORROSION/ RESISTANCE IN THE NR 2 ENGINE, NR 2 DECK CANNON PLUG 103P17. THE NR 2 ENGINE N2 HARNESS WAS REPLACED, OPERATIONALLY CHECKED GOOD AND THE HELICOPTER RETURNED TO SERVICE.
