Maintenance disclosures
(UVVR) WHILE AIRCRAFT WAS STRIPPED FOR A PAINT JOB, VISUAL INSPECTION OF LT WING OVERWING FAIRING WAS DELAMANATED. AFTER FUTHER PANEL REMOVAL, FOUND CORROSION EXTENDING UNDER OVERWING FAIRING. CORROSION EXTENDING THROUGH LT WING PLANK AT W.S. 102.5 TO W.S. 107 APPROX. 10 INCHES FROM FRONT SPAR EXTENDING APPROX. 15 INCHES FROM FRONT SPAR (CORROSION FOUND IS EXFOLIATED). THIS AREA IS ONLY INSPECTED BY VISUAL MEANS DURING A 150 HOUR INSPECTION AND THE WING PLANKS ARE COVERED UP BY THE OVERWING FAIRINGS WHICH ARE FIBERGLASS OVERLAYS
AIRCRAFT LOST ALL EMERGENCY POWER.
AFTER DEPARTURE, PLTS NOTICED RT ENG OIL PRESSURE WAS ABOVE THE GREEN ARC INTO THE YELLOW. PULLED BACK ON THE THROTTLE AND THE OIL PRESSURE FOLLOWED THE THROTTLE MOVEMENT, AT THAT TIME THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SURGE AND THEY HEARD A POP FROM THE REAR OF THE A/C. THEN THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SPOOL DOWN. CREW BEGAN THE S/D PROCEDURE AND RETURNED TO JAN FOR MX. UPON INVESTIGATION OF PROB, THE MX NOTED OIL ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE A/C AND INSIDE THE COWL. THE OIL FILTER BY-PASS INDICATOR WAS POPPED INDICATING FILTER BY-PASS. THE FILTER WAS REMOVED FOR INSPECTION AND SOAP SAMPLE, WHEN IT WAS REMOVED, IT WAS NOTED THAT IT HAD SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNTS OF METAL IMPREGNATED IN IT. THE APPROPRIATE ACTIONS ARE BEING TAKEN PRESENTLY.
DC VOLTAGE "SPIKE", CAUSING MULTIPLE COMPONENT/SYSTEM FAILURES, CIRCUIT BREAKERS POPPING.
PILOT BEGAN FEELING VIBRATION FROM LEFT ENGINE, LEFT GENERATOR HOT LIGHT CAME ON, FOLLOWED BY GENERATOR FAILURE.
