Maintenance disclosures
DURING GROUND MAINTENANCE CHECKS THE LEFT COWL VALVE FAILED TO OPEN, INDICATED BY A CAS MESSAGE. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM VERIFIED THE DISCREPANCY AND REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LEFT ENGINE COWLING ANTI-ICE VALVE WITH AN OVERHAULED UNIT. OPS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT AUTO-THROTTLE 1 AND 2 WERE INTERMITTENTLY DISCONNECTING DURING ANY PHASE OF FLIGHT. OPERATIONS WERE CONTINUED PER MEL 22-1 UNTIL MAINTENANCE WAS AVAILABLE. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM TROUBLESHOT AND DETERMINED THE THROTTLE QUADRANT WAS AT FAULT. THE QUADRANT WAS REMOVED AND A INSPECTED UNIT WAS INSTALLED. OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED HF NO2 WAS INOP. OPERATIONS WERE CONTINUED ON MEL. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM REMOVED THE DEFECTIVE HF TRANSCEIVER AND REPLACED IT WITH AN OVERHAULED UNIT. OPS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT AFTER ENGINE START AND ON TAXI A "BLUE" SINGLE RUDDER CAS WILL COME ON INTERMITTENTLY THEN GO OUT AND REMAIN OUT AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM TROUBLESHOT AND REPLACED THE LEFT HYDRAULIC MANIFOLD FILTER, ENGINE BYPASS FILTER, PTU CASE DRAIN FILTER AND AUX RETURN FILTER. THE LEFT AND RIGHT HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS WERE BLED AND LEAK CHECKED, NO DISCREPANCIES WERE NOTED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT A CAS MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED ON DECENT INDICATING A FAULT WITH THE LEFT COWL VALVE IN THE OPEN POSITION. THE MAINTENANCE TEAM TROUBLESHOT AND FOUND THAT THE LEFT COWLING ANTI-ICE VALVE HAD FAILED. THE FAILED VALVE WAS REMOVED AND A NEW VALVE WAS INSTALLED. OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING AN ENGINE POST-FLIGHT INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE NOTICED DISBONDING OF THE ACOUSTIC LINER ON THE RIGHT HAND ENGINE INLET IN THE 5 O'CLOCK POSITION. THE LOOSE ACOUSTIC FABRIC CONSISTED OF AN AREA OF ABOUT 5" BY 7". NO DELAMINATION OF THE CORE MATERIAL BENEATH THE LINER WAS DETECTED.
