ON DEPARTURE, WHILE CLIMBING UP TO APPROXIMATELY 2,000 FEET, THE AIRCRAFT GENERATED A "CENTER EBAY LH SMOKE" CAS MESSAGE. THE CREW IMMEDIATELY ACCOMPLISHED THE APPLICABLE PAPER QRH PROCEDURE FOR THE SMOKE INDICATION. AS A PRECAUTION, THE DECISION WAS MADE TO LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NO FIRE EXTINGUISHING BOTTLES WERE DISCHARGED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONFIGURED FOR EMERGENCY EVACUATION UPON LANDING. THE LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL AND FIRE DEPARTMENT FOUND NO FIRE. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED SMOKE DETECTOR. OPS CHECK GOOD. IAW EMB PRAETOR AMM 26-15-02
