ON TAKEOFF, NOSE GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. RETURNED TO DEPARTURE POINT WITH UNEVENTFUL LANDING. MAINTENANCE FOUND LARGE TRAFFIC CONE STUCK BETWEEN THE TWO NOSE WHEELS WHICH PREVENTED RETRACTION. NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT. OPERATIONAL TEST PERFORMED OF LANDING GEAR SYSTEM WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.
