WHILE ENROUTE TO SENDING FACILITY AND IN IMC CONDITIONS, NR 2 GEN DISCONNECT CAUTION APPEARED ON CAD, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY BURNING SMELL IN CABIN AS REPORTED BY CABIN OCCUPANT (FLIGHT NURSE). LEFT FRONT SEAT OCCUPANT (PARAMEDIC) BROKE OUT CHECKLIST AND READ CHECKLIST ITEMS TO PILOT. PILOT EXECUTED CHECKLIST ITEMS, NOTIFIED ATC OF SITUATION AND INTENTIONS TO DIVERT TO BWI. NOTIFIED COMM WHEN WORKLOAD PERMITTED, WHO RELAYED THE SITUATION AND CREW INTENTIONS TO MAINTENANCE. LANDED AT BWI WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT, AND TURNED THE AIRCRAFT OVER TO MAINTENANCE.
STRONG ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL IN COCKPIT, STRONGEST WHEN STARTING ENGINES. MAINTENANCE REPLACED DC EXT POWER RECEPTACLE AND CURRENT LIMITER DUE TO BURNT TERMINALS ON PLUG.
STRONG ODOR FROM PILOTS VENT, CAME AFTER START FROM NR 1 ENGINE. MAINTENANCE RAN NR 1 ENGINE AND PACKS, NO ODOR NOTED. OPS CHECK GOOD.
GROUND AIR DOOR INDICATOR INDICATION AFTER TAKEOFF. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND ADJUSTED BOTH GROUND AIR DOOR LATCHES, DOOR CLOSED SECURELY.
DURING DESCENT THE LEFT ENGINE SURGED SEVERAL TIMES. RETARDED POWER LEVER. C/W INFLIGHT SHUTDOWN OF LEFT ENGINE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED PCU ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.
BRAKES ON BOTH SIDES (PILOT AND FIRST OFFICER) INEFFECTIVE ON TAXI OUT. RETURNED TO GATE. BLED BRAKES IN ACCORDANCE WITH M/M JIC 32-42-00, PARAGRAPH C1-48. TAXI CHECKED BRAKES NORMAL, OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD.
FIRST OFFICERS EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT CHARGE INDICATOR INOP. REPLACED FIRST OFFICERS EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT ASSEMBLY, OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD.
EN ROUTE, NR 2 RT ALTERNATOR FAILED, ALONG WITH A RT AC VOLT CAS MESSAGE. NR 1 LT ALTERNATOR FAILED, ALONG WITH LT AC VOLT CAS MESSAGE. FLIGHT DIVERTED TO GEG. UPON INSPECTION FOUND NR 2 RT ALTERNATOR BEARINGS TO BE BAD. REPLACED NR 2 ALTERNATOR. DURING ACCOMPLISHMENT OF OPERATIONAL CHECKS FOR THE ALTERNATOR SYSTEM FOUND THAT NR 1 ALTERNATOR WAS TIED TO THE NR 2 RT BUS, OR WHEN NR 2 ALTERNATOR WAS TIED TO THE NR 1 LT BUS, THE ALTERNATOR WOULD FAIL AFTER ABOUT 5 TO 6 MINUTES. WHEN ALTERNATORS WERE NOT TIED, THEY OPERATED NORMALLY. FERRIED AIRCRAFT FROM GEG-PDX FOR FURTHER REPAIRS. REPLACED 2VE AC JUNCTION BOX, OPERATIONAL CHECK OF ALTERNATOR SYSTEM CHECKS GOOD.
RIGHT HAND FORWARD ESCAPE PATH LIGHT INOP. RECONNECTED ESCAPE PATH LIGHT STRIP AND LIGHT OPS CHECKED GOOD.
PDX - RIGHT PACK OVERHEAT CAS MESSAGE. A HOT PACK SMELL WAS ASSOCIATED WITH CAS MESSAGE. GROUND COOLING FAN REPLACED AND SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
PDX - AVIONICS FAN EMITTED SMOKE. AFT AVIONICS FAN REPLACED IAW MAINT MANUAL AND FAN OPS CHECKED GOOD. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SRVICE.
PDX - NR 1 AND NR 2 ENGINE INLETS FOUND WITH DEBONDED DE-ICE BOOTS. REPLACED INLETS AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
PDX - WOW LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN FLIGHT. AIRCRAFT LANDED IN PDX WITHOUT FURTHER PROBLEMS. REPLACED PSEU AND SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
