Maintenance disclosures
THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THE NO2 GENERATOR FAILED TO COME ON LINE WHEN SELECTED ON. THE MAINTENANCE VENDOR TROUBLESHOT AND DETERMINED THE NO2 INTEGRATED DRIVE GENERATOR WAS FAULTY. THE IDG WAS REMOVED AND AN OVERHAULED UNIT WAS INSTALLED. OPS CHECKS WERE SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING A POST FLIGHT INSPECTION CHECK, DISCOVERED THAT THE POSITIVE TERMINAL ON THE APU BATTERY HAD ARCING DAMAGE. THE DAMAGE WAS ALSO NOTED ON THE CONNECTOR. AN INVESTIGATION CONCLUDED THAT IT WAS POSSIBLE THE FLIGHT CREW HAD NOT CORRECTLY ENGAGED THE CONNECTOR FULLY AND CAUSED ARCING OF THE CONNECTOR. A NEW CONNECTOR WAS INSTALLED ALONG WITH AN OVERHAULED BATTERY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
THE CREW REPORTED THAT THE TCAS SYSTEM FAILED DURING CRUISE FLIGHT. FAULT CODES INDICATED AN INTERNAL TCAS FAULT. THE FAULTY TCAS PROCESSOR WAS REMOVED AND A REPAIRED UNIT WAS INSTALLED.
