PILOT REPORTED AFTER TAKEOFF FROM KPDX, THE LEFT ATTITUDE INDICATOR FAILED. PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO KPDX AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOT SYSTEM AND FOUND CAPTAINSâ ATTITUDE INDICATOR WAS INOP. REPLACED ATTITUDE INDICATOR AND ALL OPERATIONAL CHECKS WERE GOOD.
