INSPECTION FOUND TWO CRACKS IN LT WING FIXED LEADING EDGE SKIN AT OSS 421. THE CRACKS WERE 5 AND 10 INCHES LONG. THE SKIN WAS REPAIRED IAW EA 5731-01010.
INSPECTION FOUND CABIN FLOOR EDGE CREASE BEAM CORRODED AT BS 1630 RBL 64. A BEAM STRAP AND FILLER PLATE WERE INSTALLED IAW SRM 53-60-13.
FORWARD HOLD THRESHOLD CORRODED THROUGH ATTACHMENT ANGLE PLATE. REPLACED THRESHOLD.
TWO SEAT TRACKS CORRODED AT POSITION RBL 45.5 AND 24.75 BETWEEN BS 377.7 AND 440. REPLACED SEAT TRACKS.
INSPECTION FOUND SEAT 28 ABC EMERGENCY LIGHT INOPERATIVE. MAINTENANCE FOUND A BROKEN WIRE LEADING TO LAMP ASSEMBLY OF SEAT 28 ABC. THE WIRE WAS REPAIRED AND OPERATION CHECKED GOOD.
FLT NR 711 - IAH - THE EICAS MESSAGE RIGHT OVERWING SLIDE DISPLAYED STEADY AND THE EMERGENCY DOORS OVERHEAD LIGHT ILLUMINATED STEADY AFTER TAKEOFF FROM EWR. CABIN PRESSURE WAS GOOD AND A VISUAL INSPECTION OF BOTH EXITS APPEARED NORMAL. THE FLIGHT WAS CONTINUED TO IAH. UPON LANDING AT IAH THE TOWER REPORTED THAT THE SLIDE APPEARED TO BE DRAPED OVER THE RT WING. MX FOUND THE RT OVERWING EMERGENCY EXIT DOOR PROPERLY INSTALLED, BUT THE EXTERIOR SLIDE COMPART DOOR WAS OPEN. THE RT INBOARD T/E FLAP WAS FOUND DAMAGED DUE TO SLIDE DEPLOYMENT. THE SLIDE WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. THE FLAP WAS REPAIRED IAW SRM 57-53-01. CAUSE OF FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. A BULLETIN ON SLIDE INSTALLATION WAS ISSUED. (M)
