FOUND LT DOWNLOCK MECHANISM WOULD NOT RETRACT BECAUSE OF EXCESSIVE GREASE. CLEANED EXCESSIVE GREASE FROM DOWNLOCK MECHANISM PISTON AND PERFORM LANDING GEAR OPERATIONAL CHECKS. LANDING GEAR FULLY CYCLED UP AND DOWN EIGHT TIMES - MX PERFORMED IAW CMM 32-11-01. MX OPS CHECKS WERE GOOD. ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
PILOT REPORTED THAT AFTER TAKEOFF AND UPON RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR, THE RT NOSE GEAR INDICATED UP AND LOCKED AND THE LT MAIN GEAR INDICATED DOWN AND LOCKED. PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO DEPARTURE. GEAR WAS SELECTED DOWN AND 3 DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. AT NO TIME WAS A GEAR UNSAFE INDICATION RECEIVED. INSPECTED LANDING GEAR SYSTEM VISUALLY WITH NO STRUCTURAL DEFECTS NOTED. OPEN
AFTER DEPARTURE, LEFT MLG DID NOT APPEAR TO CYCLE FROM GREEN TO NORMAL UP INDICATION. PILOT ADVISED RESELECTED LANDING GEAR LEVER TO DOWN IAW ABNORMAL CHECKLIST AND GEAR SHOWED 3 DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. ACFT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND CONTROL TOWER REPORTED THAT LANDING GEAR ALL APPEARED DOWN - NORMAL. FLIGHT LANDED WITHOUT FUTHER INCIDENT. MX TROUBLESHOT ACFT AND FOUND LT MLG ACTUATOR HAD FAILED INTERNALLY. R & R LT MLG ACTUATOR AND PERFORMED GEAR SWINGS IAW AMM 32-30-06 AND 32-30-00. ALL OPS CHECKED GOOD. NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.

DURING 4800 AND 9600 HOUR STRUCTURAL INSP OF THE ACFT. INSP REVEALED 2 LOWER LT STUB WING HAT CHANNELS/RE-INFORCING STRAPS THAT WERE CRACKED.
NR 2 (RT) ENGINE FAILED AFTER LANDING. FUEL LEAKING FROM COWLING. TROUBLESHOOT NR 2 ENG AND FOUND FUEL CONTROL UNIT REAR PLUG O-RING DAMAGED. REMOVED AND REPLACED NR 2 ENGINE FUEL CONTROL UNIT IAW MM 73-20-00. LEAK AND OPS CHECKS GOOD. GROUND PERFORMANCE RUN CHECKED GOOD-NO DEFECTS NOTED.
DURING CLIMB OUT THE CREW REPORTED THE LT ENGINE LOST POWER. THE LT ENGINE PROP RPM DROPPED TO 1200 AND THE BLUE FINE PITCH LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING ALONG WITH A DROP IN TORQUE. THE CREW ELECTED TO RETURN TO DEPARTURE AND LANDED WITH OUT INCIDENT. MX FOUND THE LT ENGINE FCU TO BE INOPERATIVE AND A LOOSE (B)-NUT ON THE PY LINE TO THE FCU. MX REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FCU AND RESECURED THE PY LINE. GROUND RUN OPERATIONAL CHECKS SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
OGG - FLT 7672 - OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATION, LOW OIL PRESSURE WHICH RESULTED IN AN EIFSD, AND A SUBSEQUENT AIR RETURN. INTERNAL COMPONENT FAILURE. UNDETERMINED AT THIS TIME AWAITING TEARDOWN REPORTS FROM OVERHAUL FACILITY. REPLACED POWER SECTION WITH SERVICEABLE UNIT, OPERATIONALLY TESTED, AND RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
