DURING INSPECTION, CRACKS WERE VISUALLY FOUND ON THE ENGINE COMBUSTION LINER.

JFK - FLT 5193 - CREW REPORTED THE HANDLE ON THE EMERGENCY EXIT ACROSS FROM MAIN DOOR CAME DOWN ON TAKEOFF AND AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT PRESSURIZE. FLIGHT ATTENDANTS SECURED HANDLE AND AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO JFK WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. MAINTENANCE COULD NOT DUPLICATE DISCREPANCY. EMERGENCY EXIT WAS REMOVED AND A THROUGH INSPECTION OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WITH NO DEFECTS FOUND. DOOR WAS REINSTALLED AND A GROUND PRESSURIZATION CHECK WAS COMPLIED WITH AND NO DEFECTS NOTED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)

ABI - FOUND SEAT TRACK 18.3L WAS FOUND CORRODED AT FS 297-329. CUT OUT 32 INCH SECTION OF EXISTING SEAT TRACK. FABRICATED AND INSTALLED A 32 INCH LONG EXTRUSION. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
DURING PREFLIGHT, CREW FOUND THE EMERGENCY EXIT SIGN ABOVE SEAT 8A BROKEN. REPLACED THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY.
SMELL OF ELECTRICAL SHORT NOTED IN COCKPIT AND IN CABIN BY THE FLIGHT CREW FOLLOWED BY A LOSS OF THE ACARS AND THE INVERTER. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO GATE. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE ACARS MANAGEMENT COMPUTER AND THE NR 2 INVERTER.
EMERGENCY FLOOR LIGHTS AT ROWS 10 AND 14 ARE INOPERATIVE. REPLACED BULBS AT ROWS 10 AND 14.
FLOOR PROXIMITY LIGHTS AT ROW 11-12B FAIL TO TEST. MAINTENANCE TIGHTENED LOOSE LAMPS.
RIGHT OUTBOARD MAIN LANDING GEAR ASSIST SPRING WAS FOUND BROKEN. REPLACED THE SPRING AND PERFORMED LANDING GEAR SWING.
ON APPROACH, CREW SMELLED SOMETHING ELECTRICAL, THE CAPTAINS ELECTRONIC ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR SUBSEQUENTLY WENT BLACK. THE CREW TURNED OFF THE LEFT AVIONICS AND THE SMELL WENT AWAY. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE LEFT ELECTRONIC ATTITUDE DIRECTION INDICATOR.
