DFW FLT1262 - DURING FINAL APPROACH TO DFW, CREW SELECTED FLAPS FROM 15 TO 25 UNITS AND NOTICED A DEVELOPING SPLIT IN THE LEFT AND RIGHT FLAP POINTERS. AT 25 UNITS, THERE WAS A NOTICEABLE SPLIT BUT NO APPARENT AIRCRAFT ROLL. CREW EXECUTED A GO-AROUND AND LANDED WITH FLAPS 15 WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. SUBSEQUENT TEST AT THE GATE SHOWED THE FLAPS GOING TO 25 UNITS WITH A 3 TO 4 SPLIT, THEN 30 UNITS WITH NO SPLIT AND 40 UNITS WITH NO SPLIT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE FLAP POSITION INDICATOR FAULTY. REPLACED INDICATOR PER MM 27-51-00 AND 27-58-01. OPERATIONAL CHECK GOOD.

EN ROUTE FROM CLT TO DFW, CREW REPORTED AN ELECTRICAL BURNING ODOR IN FORWARD GALLEY. OVEN, CONTROLLER AND BACKWALL OF GALLEY WAS HOT. TURNING OFF GALLEY POWER APPEARED TO BE OF SOME HELP. FLIGHT LANDED AT DFW WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE IN DFW PULLED OVEN CONTROL UNIT AND FOUND UNIT TO SMELL BURNED. OPERATED GALLEY LIGHTS. NO TROUBLE FOUND. PULLED AND COLLARED OVEN AND COFFEEMAKER CIRCUIT BREAKERS. RELEASED AIRCRAFT ON MEL 25-10. THREE DAYS LATER, ON OCTOBER 13TH IN PHL, CREW REPORTED FEELING HEAT AND DETECTING ODOR IN FORWARD GALLEY AGAIN. APPEARS TO BE COMING FROM OVEN CONTROL PANEL. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FORWARD GALLEY OVEN TEMP CONTROLLER. OPS CHECK GOOD. CLEARED MEL 25

PIT - FLT 1628 - AFTER CLIMB FROM PHL AT FL330, AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE FAILURE OF SYSTEM 'B' HYDRAULICS. CREW REPORTED ZERO PRESSURE AND QUANTITY. THE 'B' SYSTEM PUMPS WERE TURNED OFF WITHIN TWO MINUTES OF LOW PRESSURE LIGHTS. FLIGHT DIVERTED TO PIT AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE GATE ON ITS POWER. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. MAINTENANCE FOUND A HYDRAULIC LINE IN THE MAIN LANDING GEAR WHEEL WELL LEAKING. REPLACE HYDRAULIC LINE.
