WHILE FLYING BETWEEN EW921 AND SS246, SAW THE NR 1 ENGINE TEMPERATURE IN THE RED. REDUCED POWER TO OEI LEVELS AND LOOKED FOR SECONDARY INDICATIONS AND SAW NONE. CONSULTED CHECKLIST AND PERFORMED A SINGLE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. CONTACTED COM CENTER AND WAS ADVISED TO TAKE ACFT. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE NR 1 ENGINE OIL TEMP BYPASS VALVE.

ACFT EXPERIENCED AN INFLIGHT FIRE WARNING HORN BUT NO WARNING LIGHT. FIRE BOTTLE WAS DISCHARGED INTO NR 1 ENGINE ON SHUTDOWN AS THE ENGINE PASSED 50 PERCENT AS DESIGNED. TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED THE FWD FIRE DETECTOR TO HAVE A HIGH RESISTANCE SHORT. UNIT INDICATES A 850K OHM SHORT RISING TO 900K OHM THE LONGER THE DVOM IS HELD ON THE TERMINALS. SWITCHING THE LEADS THE UNIT INDICATES AN OPEN.

MAIN CABIN FLOOR WAS FOUND TO BE DENTED. THE FLOOR PANEL WILL THEN BE REPAIRED IAW THE FAA-APPROVED REPAIR DATA.
