DURING APPROACH TO KSJU, THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED LEFT ENGINE TORQUE DROP AND SLIGHT YAW TO THE LEFT. PILOT SHUTDOWN LH ENGINE IAW QRH. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED, AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED IN KSJU WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED ENGINE COMPRESSOR BLADES, POWER TURBINE BLADES AND WERE ALL FOUND OK. NO DEBRIS FOUND IN ENGINE OIL OR OIL FILTER. MAINTENANCE ALSO PERFORMED ENGINE RUN AND ENGINE TEMPERATURE WAS WITHIN LIMITS. ENGINE REACHED TAKEOFF TORQUE BUT NOTED ACCELERATION WAS LAGGING IN ALL PHASES. PROCEEDED TO BORESCOPE ENGINE AND FOUND STATOR HOUSE WAS DAMAGED. A NEW HOT SECTION WAS RECEIVED ON 08/11/2023 AND INSTALLED. GROUND PERFORMANCE RUNS COMPLETED AND FOUND SATISFACTORY.

THE PILOT REPORTED ON TAKEOFF THAT THE GEAR SELECTOR SAFETY J HOOK DID NOT AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT AFTER LIFTOFF, MANUALLY RETRACTED THE J-HOOK AND SELECTED THE LANDING GEAR SELECTOR TO THE UP POSITION. THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR DOWN INDICATION (GREEN LIGHT) EXTINGUISHED BUT THE LEFT MAIN AND NOSE DID NOT. THE PILOT PLACED THE GEAR SELECTOR BACK TO THE DOWN POSITION. THE LEFT MAIN AND NOSE GEAR DOWN LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED BUT THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR INDICATION DID NOT ILLUMINATE. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND REQUESTED A LOW PASS FOR TOWER TO CONFIRM ALL THREE GEARS CONDITION, ATC REPLIED THE GEAR APPEARED DOWN AND LOCKED. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND TAXIED BACK TO PARKING. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND PLACED THE AIRCRAFT ON JACKS. FURTHER TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED A CONNECTOR PLUG IN THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR WELL NOT SECURE. MAINTENANCE SECURED THE CONNECTOR PLUG AND REPLACED THE RIGHT MAIN INDICATION LAMP AS PRECAUTION. LANDING GEAR OPS CHECKS WERE NORMAL AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

IN CRUISE FLIGHT FROM KSMX TO KSBA WHEN HE NOTICED A BURNING SMELL AND SAW A SMALL AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING FROM BETWEEN THE GLARE SHIELD AND THE INSTRUMENT BEZEL OF THE PILOT’S ATTITUDE INDICATOR. THE PILOT CHECKED ALL INSTRUMENTATION AND NOTED NO DEFECTS. THE SMOKE DISSIPATED AFTER FEW MINUTES. FOLLOWED EMERGENCY PROCEDURES CHECK LIST AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT IN KSBA. INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND PERFORMED GROUND RUN AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS OF ALL SYSTEMS IN KSBA. NO DISCREPANCIES WERE FOUND. FERRIED TO KBUR FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION. REMOVED INSTRUMENTS, INSPECTED WIRING AND ASSOCIATED CONNECTORS BEHIND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, NO DEFECTS. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. NO SMOKE OR BURNING SMELLS HAVE BEEN REPORTED ON SUBSEQUENT FLIGHTS.

DURING CLIMB OUT FROM SFO, RT ENG LOST POWER AT APPROXIMATELY 100 FT AGL. BOTH RT SIDE ANNUNCIATOR’S ENG OIL PRESS & LOW FUEL PRESS WERE ILLUMINATED. ENG TORQUE WAS FLUCTUATING BETWEEN 0 & 500 FT LB. PILOT PULLED THE RT ENG CONDITION LEVER TO CUTOUT & DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. PILOT LANDED AT SFO WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MX TROUBLESHOOTING REVEALED RT ENG FUEL FLOW DIVIDER WAS DEFECTIVE, MX CHANGED FUEL FLOW DIVIDER & CLEANED RT ENG FUEL FILTERS, RT ENG GND RUN PERFORMED SATISFACTORY, ALSO PERFORMED ENG LEAK CHECKS ALL CHECKED GOOD.
