ON CLIMB OUT WITH THE AUTO PILOT ON, THE FLIGHT CREW RECEIVED A TRIM RUNAWAY WARNING. THE TRIM WAS MOVING TO THE NOSE UP POSITION. PILOT FLYING PRESSED THE RED MSW BUTTON TO STOP THE RUNAWAY, SWITCHED TO SECONDARY TRIM, RETRIMMED THE AIRCRAFT AND RETURNED TO THE AIRFIELD WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES. MAINTENANCE WAS SECURED TO INSPECT AND REPAIR THE AIRCRAFT. QAR AND NVM DOWNLOADS WERE PERFORMED TO VERIFY ANY FAULTS, NO DEFECT NOTED. OPERATIONAL TEST OF THE ELEVATOR SERVO AND PITCH/ROLL TRIM SWITCHES WAS PERFORMED, NO FAULTS NOTED. FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF THE STABILIZER TRIM SYSTEM WAS PERFORMED, NO FAULTS NOTED. ADDITIONALLY, MDC/HSTEU DOWNLOADS WERE PERFORMED AND AGAIN, NO FAULTS WERE NOTED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY RELEASED FOR A MAINTENANCE CONFIDENCE FLIGHT. A SUPPLEMENTAL SDR WILL BE SUBMITTED IN THE EVENT OF FURTHER ISSUES.
TEB-SRQ DIVERT BACK TO TEB (EMER DECLARED, 0PAX) FOR RED CABIN ALTITUDE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. MX C/A: R&R OUTFLOW VALVE, OPS CKS GOOD.
SOON AFTER TAKEOFF (APPROX. 1 MINUTE), SMOKE WAS NOTICED COMING FROM THE RT SIDE OF THE COCKPIT. FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO HPN, WHERE THEY LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN DE-ICED PRIOR TO DEPARTURE; BOTH THE APU AND ENGINES WERE NOT RUNNING AT THE TIME. MAINTENANCE COMPLETED A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, OPERATED THE APU AND WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE FLIGHT CREW, PERFORMED GROUND ENGINE RUNS AT TAKEOFF POWER; NO DEFECTS WERE NOTED (UNABLE TO DUPLICATE). A SUCCESSFUL CONFIDENCE FLIGHT WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR INTO CRUISE FLIGHT, THERE WAS A VERY LOUD BANG IN THE CABIN. THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER LOUD POPPING SOUNDS REPORTED AFTER THE INITIAL BANG. ONE OF THE PILOTS WENT BACK TO INVESTIGATE AND FOUND THE FORWARD RIGHT SIDE LIFE RAFT WAS TRYING TO DEPLOY WITHIN ITS STOWAGE COMPARTMENT. THE SECONDARY SOUNDS WERE OF THE STOWAGE CABINET BREAKING APART AND SEPARATING FROM THE GALLEY SIDE WALL. THE CREW INSTRUCTED THE PASSENGERS TO RELOCATE TO THE AFT MOST SEATS IN THE AIRCRAFT. THE CREW DIVERTED TO KCHS AND AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED. CREW AND PASSENGERS SAFELY DEPLANED THE AIRCRAFT.
