ON APPROACH TO KFMN THE PILOT SELECTED THE LANDING GEAR TO THE DOWN POSITION AND DID NOT RECEIVE A THREE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. THE PILOT NOTIFIED THE TOWER AND PERFORMED A GO AROUND. THE PILOT FOLLOWED THE LANDING GEAR EMERGENCY EXTENSION PROCEDURES, RECEIVED A THREE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT IN KFMN. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND FOUND HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKING FROM THE LEFT ENGINE HYDRAULIC FILTER HOUSING. THE HYDRAULIC FILTER HOUSING WAS INSPECTED AND FOUND CRACKED IN THE THREAD AREA. REPLACED FILTER HOUSING WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT AND NEW O-RING. GROUND RUN LEFT ENGINE HYDRAULIC FILTER HOUSING LEAK CHECKED SATISFACTORY.

DURING APPROACH PILOT SELECTED LG HANDLE TO THE EXTEND POSITION, LG FAILED TO EXTEND. PILOT TRIED TO CYCLE LG SEVERAL TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULTS. PILOT DECIDED TO RETURN, PERFORMED A MANUAL EXTENSION OF THE LG & DECLARED AN EMER. PILOT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE LT & RT HYD PUMPS HAD FAILED. R & R LT & RT HYD PUMPS. PERFORMED GND RUN HYD SYS, OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS NORMAL. PERFORMED AN OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT OF THE ACFT, THE LG SYS FUNCTIONAL CHECKED NORMAL. SUSPECT CAVITATION IN THE HYD SYS DUE TO THE RT PUMP CHANGE ON 01 16 2015 WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES.

THE PILOT REPORTED THAT AT CRUISE ALTITUDE OF 13000 FT A SMELL OF ELECTRICAL BURNING AND SMOKE WAS PRESENT. THE PILOT CHECKED THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND FOUND THE HEATER FAN CIRCUIT BREAKER AND PITOT HEAT CIRCUIT BREAKER WERE POPPED. THE PILOT TURNED OFF ALL HEATER CONTROLS AND PITOT HEAT SWITCHES. THE SMOKE DISSIPATED. THE PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO PDX. PDX MAINTENANCE FOUND A SECTION OF BUS BAR LINKS THAT COULD POSSIBLY SHORT TOGETHER. CHANGED LENGTH OF SCREWS INSTALLED IN THOSE BUS BAR LINKS. ALSO, FOUND TWO BUS BAR LINK TO CB CONNECTIONS LOOSE. REPLACED SCREWS AND LOCK WASHERS, GROUND OPS CHECK NORMAL.
