Maintenance disclosures
DEPARTING, CAPTAIN NOTICED THE LT ENGINE TORQUE DROPPING AND THE ITT RISE TO APPROX 850 DEGREES. THE CAPTAIN PUSHED THE LT POWER LEVEL UP SLIGHTLY TO VERIFY THAT IT HAD NOT WORKED ITSELF BACK. FLIGHT CREW COMPLETED THE VITAL ACTION ITEMS. FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH THE ATC. AC LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND THE AC WAS TAXIED BACK THE RAMP. MECHANIC WAS DISPATCHED WITH A SERVICEABLE ENGINE MODULE, INCLUDING ACCESSORIES. ENGINE MODULE, INCLUDING ACCESSORIES AND PROP WAS REMOVED. SERVICEABLE COMPONENTS WERE INSTALLED IAW MM. ORIGINAL PROP WAS REINSTALLED IAW MM. THE LT ENGINE WAS GROUND RUN AND LEAK AND OPS CHECK GOOD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING FINAL APPROACH AND FINAL CHECKS, THE PROPS FWD THE RT ENGINE STARTED TO SURGE. POWER BROUGHT BACK ON RT ENGINE TO SLOW UP SURGE AND IT STOPPED SURGING MOMENTARILY AND THE GENERATOR AND OIL RT LIGHT ON THE CWP. THE NG`S WERE BELOW 50 PERCENT AND EMERGENCY CHECKLIST WAS FOLLOWING LEADING TO SHUTTING DOWN RT ENGINE. AC LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. AC WAS TAXIED BACK TO THE RAMP. MECHANIC REMOVED AND REPLACED THE PROP GOVERNOR IAW MM. THE PY LINE SYS WAS CHECKED AND WATER WAS FOUND IN IT. MECHANIC BLEW OUT THE WATER. GROUND OPS CHECKED, ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE RUNS WERE OK. AC WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (K)
