UPON TAKEOFF ROLL & ACCELERATION, AT APPROX 89 KNOTS, THE FIRST OFFICER NOTICED HIS AIRSPEED INDICATOR WAS INDICATING 0. PIC RETARDED POWER LEVERS TO IDLE & ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. ACFT RETURNED TO BLOCK. UPON INSPECTION, TECHNICIAN CLEARED PITOT TUBE OF A NOTICEABLE INSECT LODGED IN THE TUBE OPENING. HIGH SPEED TAXI WAS PERFORMED WITH NO AIRSPEED INDICATION RECOVERED. DISCONNECTED AIR SPEED INDICATOR & UTILIZING COMPRESSED AIR BLEW OUT DEBRIS FROM LINES & MANUALLY CLEANED OUT PITOT TUBE ENTRANCE. A PITOT & STATIC SYS LEAK CHECK WAS PERFORMED. SYSTEM OPERATIONAL & FUNCTIONAL TEST WERE PERFORMED SATISFACTORILY.

DURING DEPARTURE ON TAKEOFF ROLL, ACCELERATION WAS NORMAL THROUGH 85 KNOTS, FLIGHT CREW HEARD A NOISE OUTSIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT. AC STARTED TO PULL TO LT AND THERE WAS CORRECTION MADE TO STRAIGHTEN THE AIRCRAFT. FLIGHT CREW NOTICED DURING THE CORRECTION THE AC ROLLED MORE THAN USUAL. AT THIS POINT, AC WAS 5 KNOTS BELOW V-1 AND IT WAS DECIDED TO ABORT TAKEOFF. AC CONTINUED TO ROLL UNTIL IT CLEARED THE TAXIWAY. AC WAS PARKED TIL HSV MECHANIC COULD ARRIVE. REMOVED DAMAGED LT MAIN WHEEL AND REPLACED. DAMAGED HONEYCOMB LANDING GEAR POD ASSY WAS REPAIRED FOR INTENDED FERRY FLIGHT IN ORDER TO COMPLETE PERMANENT REPAIR. COMPLETED FERRY FLIGHT AND IS CURRENTLY STILL UNDERGOING THE REPAIR. (K)

REQUESTED A BOX BACK AROUND TO DISCUSS PROCEDURES FOR NO FLAP LANDING W/OUT BRAKES OR NWS. COMPLETED ALL CKS. APPROACH & LANDING WERE NORM. PROBLEM MEL'D IAW MEL 32-3. MEL 32-3 CLEARED ON 4/23/2004, NLG UPLINE HOSE R & R IAW SD3-60 MM. GEAR SWING OPS CK GOOD. LEAK CK GOOD. A/C RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)

DURING FLIGHT, THE ''SMOKE FWD'' LIGHT CAME ON. THE CHECKLIST WAS FOLLOWED AND THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THE COCKPIT EXTINGUISHER WAS EMPTIED INTO FWD COMPARTMENT. THE LIGHT EVENTUALLY WENT OUT. INSPECTION AFTER LANDING REVEALED NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE/ SMOLDERING. MEL 26-4 ENTERED. THE MECHANIC REMOVED AND REPLACED SMOKE DETECTOR AND THE FWD HAND HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHER REMOVED AND REPLACED. MEL CLEARED. OPS CHECK GOOD. (X)
