AFTER TAKEOFF, THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE RT LANDING GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT WAS INOPERATIVE. IN ORDER FOR THE PILOT TO ENSURE THE GEAR WAS DOWN HE USED THE EMERGENCY EXTENSION AND DIVERTED TO THE NEAREST MAJOR AIRPORT.
