DURING LINE OPS IN CVG, A GROUND CREW TOWED STAIRS UNDER THE RIGHT WING AND SCRAPED THE ENTIRE LOWER WING SKIN FROM FRONT SPAR TO REAR SPAR AT APPROXIMATELY WS 962. THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED TO A HANGAR AND IS CURRENTLY IN A-CHK IN CVG. BOEING WAS CONTACTED FOR A REPAIR DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS REA IS TO AUTHORIZE AND DOCUMENT THE FIRST STEP OF THE REPAIR, WHICH IS TO TRIM OUT THE DAMAGE. DIMENSIONS AND PHOTOS OF THE TRIMMED OUT DAMAGE WILL THEN BE PROVIDED TO BOEING SO THEY CAN CONTINUE DEVELOPING THE REPAIR. THE FINAL REPAIR PROVIDED BY BOEING WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A SEPARATE REA.
