PILOT REPORTED WHILE IN CLIMB DEPARTING KDFW HE RECEIVED A FIRE WARNING INDICATION ON RT HAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER CONTROL ASSEMBLY, ILLUMINATING ALL THREE (FIRE, EMPTY, AND OK) ANNUNCIATORS OF THE GUARDED FIRING SWITCH. PILOT FOLLOWING PROCEDURES PERFORMED AN INFLIGHT SHUT DOWN OF RT ENGINE AND DEPLOYED RT ENGINE FIRE EXTINGUISHER, THEN DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT BACK IN KDFW. MX INSPECTED RT ENGINE AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF AN ACTUAL FIRE. MX THEN TROUBLE SHOT THE FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM AND R&R THE LOGIC CONTROL MODULE P\N 32-19027-001 SERIAL NUMBER RWK76 WITH A REPAIRED SERVICEABLE UNIT. MX R&R RT ENGINE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE AND NO SUBSEQUENT ISSUES HAVE BEEN REPORTED.
DURING A ROUTINE SERVICE CHECK INSPECTION TWO OF THE FOUR PROP DEICE BOOT LEADS WERE FOUND TO HAVE BROKEN AND BURNT GROUND WIRES. THE GROUND WIRES WERE BROKEN IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE AND SHOWED SMALL SIGNS OF BURNT OR SINGED INSULATION AT THE POINT WHERE THE WIRE SEPARATED.
AC WAS ON A TRAINING FLIGHT IN THE LANDING PATTERN AT AROUND 2130 HOURS. THE TRAINING OFFICER NOTICED THE HYD PRESSURE GOING BETWEEN 400 AND 1800 PSI. HE SELECTED GEAR DOWN AND VERIFIED 3 GREENS BUT MINIMUM PRESSURE WAS LOW. THE CREW SELECTED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION AND USED THE HAND PUMP TO BOOST PRESSURE WAS LOW. THE CREW SELECTED EMERGENCY GEAR EXTENSION AND USED THE HAND PUMP TO BOOST PRESSURE TO 1200 PSI, MIN PRESSURE. AC THEN COMPLETED A ZERO FLAP LANDING AND RETURNED TO RAMP. HYD PRESSURE NEVER WENT TO ZERO AND NO EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. MAINT FOUND A HYD LEAK AT THE CENTER SHAFT OF THE RT FLAP ACTUATOR. AFTER REMOVAL FROM THE AC, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE RT FLAP ACTUATOR HOUSING HAD A 2.5 INCH CRACK IN IT. THIS IS AN ACTUATOR, IT WAS INSTALLED APRIL 25, 2007 AFTER IT UNDERWENT OVERHAUL BY MFG. (K)
DURING A PHASE ENGINE INSPECTION THE RT ENGINE CAWI FIREWALL FEED THRU PLASTIC FITTING WAS FOUND BROKEN OFF. THE FITTING ATTACHES TO THE CAWI FIRING VALVE AND CAUSED THE RT ENGINES ALCOHOL NOT TO REACH THE INJECTION RING ON THE INLET OF THE ENGINE.
DURING REMOVAL OF THE LT MLG DEEP CORROSION WAS FOUND ON THE LANDING GEAR AXLE UNDER THE SPACER FOR THE IB BRAKE. THE AXLE REQUIRED REPLACEMENT WITH A REPAIRED UNIT.
DURING AN ENGINE INSPECTION, THE BLEED AIR PIPE MOUNTING FLANGE FEEDING THROUGH THE FIREWALL WAS FOUND BROKEN OFF THE PIPE AND CHAFFING. NO AIR LEAKS WERE FOUND. THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED AND THE PIPE WAS REPLACED. IF THE PIPE CRACKED OFF, THE PILOT HAS NO WAY TO SHUT DOWN THE BLEED AIR OR REGULATE IT OFF THE ENGINE.
DURING INSPECTION FRAME (PN262106510) WAS FOUND CRACKED AT THE CONTROL COLUMN BEARING MOUNT ON THE RT SIDE. THIS WAS THE IMPROVED BEARING MOUNT SETUP AS CALLED OUT IN AD AND SB TO PREVENT CRACKING. THE CRACKS ARE OCCURING RT AT THE TOP OF THE IMPROVED (PN 2621352007P) DOUBLER ASSY. BELOW THE RADIOUS ON THE (26-21065-10) FRAME. MFG HAD SB CONCERNING THIS AREA THAT CHANGES THE MOUNTING AGAIN AND MAKING THE DOUBLER LONGER TO SPREAD OUT THE LOAD BETTER TO THE FRAME.
SHV - FLT 3284 - INTERIOR EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM HALF OF FLOOR STRIP LIGHTING INOPERATIVE TWO LIGHTS OVERHEAD LIGHT SIDE INOPERATIVE. REMOVED AND REPLACED EMERGENCY BATTERY PACK 20LN IAW SAAB AMM 33-50-00. OPS CHECK GOOD. (M)

DFW - FLT 3702 - ARM LIGHT ON THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT CONTROL PANEL FOR THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS ARE INOPERATIVE. INSTALLED ARM LIGHT BULB IAW AMM. OPS CHECK GOOD. (M)
AFTER TAKEOFF FROM ANU, THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR ANNUNCIATOR INTRANSIT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CREW RECYCLED THE GEAR TWICE WITH THE SAME RESULTS AND THE AIRCRAFT PROCEEDED ON TO BGI WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN INSPECTED AND FERRIED TO SJU FOR MAINTENANCE WITH THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LEFT LANDING GEAR UPLIMIT SWITCH WITH A NEW UNIT. SEVERAL RETRACTION TESTS WERE PERFORMED, CHECKED GOOD, AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
