THE MAIN DOOR IS EXCESSIVELY HARD TO OPEN AND SLAMS CLOSED ONCE PAST THE 2/3 POSITION IN CLOSING. PERFORMED THE COUTERBALANCE SYSTEM RIGGING OF THE MAIN CABIN DOOR. ADJUSTED THE TENSION UNTIL SATISFACTORY AND WITHIN LIMITS. OPS CHECK GOOD. NO DEFECTS NOTED. ALL WORK DONE IAW CE-680 AMM 52-10-50.

AFT MAIN TELESCOPIC ROD IS UNSEATED AND NOT SUPPORTING THE DOOR. /INSPECTED MAIN ENTRY DOOR AFT TELESCOPIC SUPPORT STRUT AND FOUND THE LOWER END OF THE UPPER BARREL PORTION PULLED THROUGH. ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE DOOR STRUT AND FOUND SUPPORT STRUT PIN SEIZED INTO SUPPORT BRACKET. PLACED ADDITIONAL PARTS ON ORDER. RETURNED NEXT DAY DUE TO PARTS ETA. REMOVED AND REPLACED MAIN ENTRY DOOR SUPPORT STRUT, SUPPORT BRACKET, DOOR SUPPORT PIN AND ASSOCIATED HARDWARE. COMPLIED WITH ADJUSTMENT/TEST OF AFT DOOR SUPPORT. NO OTHER DEFECTS NOTED. POST-FLIGHT - EXTERIOR EMERGENCY LIGHT THAT IS LOCATED INSIDE THE RH LANDING LIGHT HOUSING ("SHARK LIGHT") IS INOP. GAINED ACCESS TO SHARK UGHT. REMOVED DEFECTIVE SHARK LIGHT BULB P/N: 1495 NSN, INSTALLED NEW CUSTOMER SUPPUED SHARK LIGHT BULB P/N: 1495X NSN. PERFORMED OPS CHECKS, OPS CHECK GOOD,NO DEFECTS NOTED. DESCENDING THROUGH FL180, ISSUE CLEARED. ON GEAR EXTENSION, THREE GREEN, NO, LT, & RT, UNLOCK REMAINED EXTINGUISHED. APPROACH & LANDING NORMAL. FOUND A BROKEN BOLT ON LT LOWER ROD END ASSY. REMOVED & INSTALLED NEW ROD END ASSY. MEASURED DISTANCE BETWEEN FLATS OF UPPER & LOWER BARRELS ON NLG & FOUND IT TO BE 9.95" IAW MM 32-00-00, STEP 7. PERFORMED REPACK OF NLG, SWUNG GEAR, LEAK & OPS CHECKED GOOD. WORK DONE IAW CMM 32-20-01, AMM 32-00-00 & 32-20-00.

NLG LANDING GEAR EXTENSION: CLIMBING THROUGH FL230 AT 280 KTS WE HEARD A LOUD BANG, FOLLOWED BY A MODERATE VIBRATION AND THE RED NOSE GEAR UNLOCK WAS FLICKERING ON AND OFF. ON DESCENT BACK TO DEPARTURE POINT THE THE GEAR SEEMED TO RETRACT BACK UP INTO THE WELL AND THE UNLOCK EXTINGUISHED. LANDING GEAR EXTENDED NORMALLY FOR LANDING. // SIGNOFF // JACKED THE AIRCRAFT AND MEASURED THE NLG STRUT EXTENSION TO BE 10.18". THIS IS OVER THE SPECIFICATION OF 9.75+/-.078". THE NOSE STRUT NEEDS TO BE RESEALED. (TALKED TO IAN JENKINS AT NETJETS AND NETJETS WILL LET US KNOW IF THEY DESIRE COMPLIANCE WITH SL680-32-08-- NLG STRUT SEAL IMPROVEMENT.) PERFORMED GEAR SWING AND NOTED THAT ROLLER IS ON EDGE OF UPLOCK HOOK. THE UPLOCK SWITCH MAY HAVE BEEN ADJUSTED TO MATCH THE GEAR AT PRESENT LENGTH AND SO WILL NEED TO BE READJUSTED ONCE THE NLG IS RESEALED. REMOVED LOWER BARREL P/N 6742170-6 S/N 367 AND DISSEMBLED. REMOVED OLD SEALS AND CLEANED PARTS. IAW CE680CMM 32-20-01. REPLACED ALL SEALS AND REASSEMBLED NOSE STRUT. C/W SL680-32-08 NOSE LANDING GEAR STRUT SEAL IMPROVEMENT. REPLACED RETAINER NUT P/N 6742172-6 DUE TO PITTING AND WEAR(INCLUDED IN SEAL MOD KIT P/N 6742160-200). INSTALLED LOWER BARREL ASSEMBLY P/N 6742170-6 S/N 367 IAW CMM 32-20-01.SERVICED STRUT WITH NITROGEN AND 5606 HYDRAULIC FLUID IAW MM 12-20-32. CLEANED AND LUBED WHEEL BEARINGS. INSTALLED LH WHEEL P/N 3-1538-1 S/N 0630 AND RH WHEEL P/N 3-1538-1 S/N 1036. TORQUED AND SAFETIED AXLE NUTS. INSTALLED HUB CAPS. IAW MM 32-41-10. COMPLIED WITH STEPS 1 THROUGH 15 OF THE NLG UPLOCK SWITCH ADJUSTMENT IAW MM 32-60-00. NEED TO PERFORM THE MLG SYSTEM UPLOCK SWITCHES OPERATION AL CHECKCOMPLIED WITH.
FOUND UPPER RT BOLT HOLE ON THE VERTICAL STABILIZER AFT SPAR STIFFENER GOUGED, BLENDED DAMAGED. REPLACED THE STIFFENER.
REPAIRED CORRODED AREAS OF THE UPPER LT & RT WING SKINS LOCATED UNDER AND ADJACENT TO THE DRAG ANGLES (WING-TO-FUSELAGE FAIRING AREA) BY REMOVING THE FORWARD, MIDDLE, AND AFT DRAG ANGLES ON BOTH WINGS FOR ACCESS, BENDING CORRODED AREAS, PERFORMING NDT, REPLACING FASTENERS AS REQUIRED, TREATING, PRIMING BLENDED AREAS AND REINSTALLING DRAG ANGLES IAW FIELD REPAIR. REPLACED THE EXISTING CORRODED RT UPPER INBOARD TRAILING EDGE WING SKIN WITH NEW P/N 6922681-70 PER SRM.

DURING START OF APU WITH BLEEDS ON, COCKPIT FILLED UP WITH THICK SMOKE. ISOLATED APU AND DETERMINED TO BE SOUCE OF SMOKE IN AIR CONDITIONING. REMOVED AND REPLACED APU, SERVICED AS REQUIRED AND OPS CHECKED. OPS AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD. ACCOMPLISHED IAW MM 49-10-00, 49-20-00 AND 12-11-03.
RIGHT SIDE GEAR SLOW TO RETRACT. RT SIDE GEAR LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED ABOUT 4-5 SECONDS LONGER THAN NORMAL AFTER GEAR HANDLE SELECTED UP. R & R THE STEERING UNIT IAW MM 32-50-00. OPS, LEAK, TRAVEL AND TAXI CHECKS GOOD.
AFTER TAKEOFF, GEAR SELCETED UP AND RED UNLOCK LIGHT CAME ON - RT GEAR GREEN LIGHT REMAINED ON - LT GEAR AND NOSE LIGHTS WENT OFF. LIGHT CONDITION REMAINED UNTIL GEAR APPEARED UP AND UPLOCK LIGHT THEN UNLOCK AND ALL GREEN LIGHTS WENT OUT. APPROXIMATELY TEN SECONDS. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE STEERING UNIT IAW CE-680 MM 32-25-00. OPERATIONAL CHECK, LEAK CHECK, TRAVEL AND TAXI CHECKS GOOD.

WE HAND FLEW BECAUSE A/P AND Y/D DID NOT WORK AND NOSE WHEEL STEERING INOP. ACCESSED RT START/GEN GROUND LUG GT024, REMOVED TERMINAL INSPECTED GOOD, REINSTALLED AND TORQUED BOLT. DIODE CHECKED GOOD RT ELEC CONT RELAY DIODES DZ124 AND DZ122. INSPECTED GOOD LT, RT, EMER J-BOX COMPONENTS, AND ALL CONNECTIONS. IAW TEAM SOVEREIGN REQUEST, REPOSITIONED LT & RT START/GEN'S FOR MX CONVENIENCE, AND REPLACED RT PWR DIST PCB NZ203 WITH NEW. GROUND ENGINE RUN OPS CHECKS GOOD. WORK ACCOMPLISHED IAW THE MM CH 24-60-10 AND 80-10-00.
DC EMER R (AMBER) ILLUMINATED IN-FLIGHT AT FL330. COMPLETED THE EMERGENCY/ABNORMAL PROCEDURES CHECKLIST; "DC EMER BUSS L/R (TAB G3). WHEN REACHED THE "IF DISCHARGE LESS THAN 30 AMPS (FAULT ON MAIN BUS) TURN GEN SWITCH AFFECTED SIDE OFF". WHEN THE RT GEN SWITCH WAS TURNED OFF THE FOLLOWING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE EICAS. AMBER HYD CONTROL FAULT R, ENGINE CONTROL, PITCH ROLL DISCONNECT, DC GEN OFF R, DC EMER BUS R, THE CYAN GUST LOCK ON, WINDSHEAR FAIL, TERRAIN FAIL, GROUND PROX FAIL. THE MASTER CAUTION RESET WOULD CONTINUOUSLY RESET INFLIGHT BECAUSE OF THE HYD PRESS/VOL INDICATOR ON DU2 SCREEN FLICKERING ON AND OFF. THE FOLLOWING NR WERE DISPLAYED ON THE EICAS. DC VOLTS L 28, R 28, DC AMPS L 50, R 0, BATT VOLTS L 28, R 24, AMPS L 0, R -20, BATT TEMP L 11C, R 18C. HYD PRESS -VOL UNREADABLE; IT WAS FLUCTUATING. AND RT T/R "UNLK" LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED INFLIGHT. WE HAND FLEW AS A/P AND Y/D NO LONGER WORKED. WE NO LONGER HAD NOSE WHEEL STEERING AFTER LANDING. SWAPPED KZ003 APU RELAY, WITH RT MAIN ELECTRICAL RELAY, PN K400B3C-05, SN CP-54013 IN REF TO MM 24-62-03 AND 49-00-01. OPS CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER TAKEOFF NOSE GEAR REMAINED DOWN AND WOULD NOT RETRACT. EMERGENCY/ABNORMAL CHECKLIST COMPLIED WITH AND A NORMAL LANDING. FOUND NOSE GEAR WOULD NOT CENTER WHEN TURNED TO THE LT. TROUBLESHOT TO BAD NOSE WHEEL STEERING UNIT. REMOVED NOSE WHEEL STEERING UNIT FROM ACFT IAW MM 32-50-00. INSTALLED NOSE WHEEL STEERING UNIT IAW MM 32-50-00. ACCOMPLISHED GEAR SWING, NOSE OPS CHECK GOOD. TAXI CHECK GOOD IAW MM 32-50-00.
DURING INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ELEVATOR TORQUE TUBE, CONNECTED TO THE CONTROL COLUMNS, IS IMPACTING AND BINDING AGAINST A STRINGER AT FS 125.80, LOCATED BELOW THE PEDESTAL IN THE COCKPIT.
UPON CLIMBOUT THROUGH 5000 FT CABIN AND COCKPIT STARTED TO FILL UP WITH FUMES AND SMOKE IRRITATING THE EYES AND THE BACK OF THE THROAT OF BOTH PILOTS. OXYGEN MASKS WERE DONNED AND BOTH ENGINE BLEED AIRS WERE TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND A SUCCESSFUL LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED AT TJSJ. REMOVED AND REPLACED RT ENGINE. WORK PERFORMED IAW AMM .71-00-30. ENGINE GROUND RUNS & LEAK CHECKS PERFORMED WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. NO SMOKE OR OIL ODOR IN CABIN.
AFTER TAKEOFF AND CLIMBING THROUGH ROUGHLY 10,000 FT, PASSENGER INFORMED US OF A BAD ODOR AND HAZE IN CABIN. COPILOT WENT BACK TO TRY TO IDENTIFY THE SOURCE. RAN ABNORMAL CHECKLIST FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SYS SMOKE AND ODOR OF UNKNOWN SOURCE. APU WAS OFF, PRESS SOURCE SELECTOR WAS SWITCHED TO LAND DIVERTED. R & R RT ENGINE IAW MM 71-00-30. OPS & LEAK CHECKED GOOD. NO ODOR IN CABIN.
AT THE MOMENT OF GEAR RETRACTION ON TAKEOFF, HEARD A LOUD POP AND A HUMMING NOISE BEGAN, GOT A MASTER WARNING AND AN ENGINE VIBRATION R CAS MESSAGE. PULLED THE POWER BACK AND THE CAS MESSAGE EXTINGUISHED. FOUND BENT FAN BLADE ON RT ENGINE. SUSPECT BIRD INGESTION INTO ENGINE CORE. BORESCOPE INSPECTION INDICATED BIRD WENT THRU BYPASS AND NOT CORE. MX CHANGED 3 FAN BLADES IAW 72-30-00. PERFORM RUNS IAW 72-00-00 AND FOUND SATISFACTORY.
DURING MLG RETRACTION, GEAR SLOW TO RETRACT. IN TRANSIT, UNLOCK LIGHT IS ON & GREEN LIGHTS EXTINGUISH. GREEN LT MLG LIGHT CAME BACK ON & NOISE HEARD FROM NOSE WHILE MLG REMAINED UNRETRACTED. UPON INITIAL MLG HANDLE RETRACTION, SOLENOID BRIEFLY PREVENTED MOVEMENT BEFORE ALLOWING MOVEMENT TO RETRACT POSITION DESPITE BEING IN WOW CONDITION. FOUND NLG STRUT LOW, UPPER CHAMBER AT 245 PSI SPEC IS 240 PSI. LOWER CHAMBER AT 0 PSI, SPEC IS 40 PSI. R & R LOWER CHAMBER SERVICE VALVE IAW MM 32-20-01, SERVICED NLG STRUT IAW MM 32-20-00. FOUND NLG SQUAT SWITCH OUT OF ADJUST. SWITCH 3/4 TURN PAST ENGAGEMENT, SPEC IS 3, RIGGED NLG SQUAT SWITCH IAW MM, GEAR SWINGS, OPS GOOD IAW MM 32-00-00.
WHEN RETRACTING THE LANDING GEAR, A LOUD RATTLING SOUND AND VIBRATION OCCURED AND THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. IT APPEARED TO COME FROM THE NOSE GEAR. ALL GREEN LIGHTS WENT OUT AND THE RED UNLOCK LIGHT REMAINED. ADDITIONALLY, THE AMBER WOW MISCOMPARE EICAS MSG ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE GEAR HANDLE WAS LOWERED TO THE EXTEND POSITION, ALL INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL AND ALL SYSTEMS WORKED NORMALLY ON LANDING. FOUND NOSE WOW SWITCH OUT OF RIG. ADJUSTED NOSE WOW SWITCH IAW CESSNA 680 MM 32-60-00. VERIFIED NO WOW MISCOMPARE EICAS MESSAGE. INTERROGATED CMC WOW PCB BOARDS WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED.
LANDING GEAR DID NOT EXTEND NORMALLY, USING CHECKLIST TO EXTEND GEAR (EMERGENCY EXTENSION) 3 GREEN LIGHTS ILLUMINATED RED INTRANSIT LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. ON ROLLOUT, RUDDER PEDALS INEFFECTIVE FOR NOSE WHEEL STEERING. STEERING TILL OPERATED NORMALLY. FOUND LANDING GEAR CONTROL HANDLE INOP. REMOVED & REPLACED LANDING GEAR CONTROL HANDLE. IAW CE680MM 32-30-40
