DURING MAINTENANCE A CRACK WAS IDENTIFIED ON THE INBOARD LEG OF THE LEFT HAND OUTBOARD NACELLE FITTING, (P/N: 5292029-23). THIS CRACK MEASURES APPROXIMATELY .170 INCHES LONG AND WAS DISCOVERED USING THE LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION PROCEDURE AS OUTLINED IN TEXTRON MEL-54-02R2 TO SATISFY AD2017-10-09. THIS CRACK IS CONSISTENT WITH OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED USING THE SAME INSPECTION PROCEDURE. THIS FITTING WILL BE REPLACED USING NEW PARTS.

PILOT REPORTED "LEFT ENGINE RUNNING ROUGH AND WON'T IDLE BELOW 500 RPM". UPON INSPECTION MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NR 5 CYLINDER WAS READING ZERO COMPRESSION DUE TO AN EXHAUST VALVE CRACKED IN HALF. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE CYLINDER AND PISTON ASSEMBLY WITH NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.

THE RT ELEVATOR CABLE WAS REPLACED IAW MM CHAPTER 27-30-01 & THE AILERON TRIM CABLE GUARD WAS REPLACED IAW MM CHAPTER 27-10-00. ANTI-CHAFE MATERIAL WAS PLACED AROUND THE STRUCTURE ROUTING HOLE IAW MM CHAPTER 5-20-01.
